Greetings!
Of all the characters in Diablo Immortal, I can say that the Monk is the character that I am most interested in since I am very impressed with the character the first time it was introduced in Diablo III. I was not able to play Diablo III because of time constraints. But now that I have little time to spare I am now able to play Diablo Immortal. On my first try at playing, I first tested Monk along with Demon Hunter.
While playing Monk, I noticed that it has stronger attacks than the Demon Hunter although the Demon Hunter is a ranged character. Monk is a melee character that is very strong in close-quarter combats. Some of the Monk's skills will pull enemies near him for an easy kill in combination with its teleporting skill.
With that being said, below is the video gameplay where I based my impression of the Monk's skills...
Fists of Thunder
The fist of thunder is the Monk's most basic attack. Although it is the most basic, it is imbued with teleportation. With this skill, the Monk will teleport to the target and then unleash the fury of punches on the enemies decimating them in the process. It has 379 to 606 damage and the teleport will automatically activate every three seconds to an enemy.
Cyclone Strike
First under the skills is Cyclone Strike. This skill pulls in enemies and deals 308 to the enemy within its area of effect with up to 406 damage when used to its full potential, it has a cooldown of 12 seconds. But is pulling effect does not have an effect on bosses. My impression of this skill is that it is very good when combined with the seven-sided strike.
Exploding Palm
Exploding palm is a Monk's skill that can be used when there are groups of enemies because of its exploding effect that damages nearby enemies causing 350 damage to a nearby enemy. My impression of this skill is that it is also very good when combined with Cyclone Strike. It has a cooldown of 6 seconds.
Flying Kick
Of course, a Monk is not a Monk without a flying kick attack. This attack damages enemies on its path inflicting 455 damages in the process. These skills can be used three times in succession. My impression of this skill is that it can be used as an escape attack when you are surrounded by enemies and is low on health.
Mystic Strike
Mystic is also one of Monk's escape skills that are very handy when you are low on health and surrounded by enemies. This skill can be used three times in succession, it has a pulling effect that pulls enemies towards you while inflicting 341 damage in the process. Keep in mind an enemy can only be pulled every second.
Seven-Sided Strike
When it comes to effect, Seven-sided Strike is one of my favorites, it has 455 damage. But when an enemy is hit twice it has added 50% damage. It has a 12 seconds cooldown. My impression of this skill is that it is very good when combined with Cyclone Strike effectively annihilating enemies in the process.
Wave Strike
Wave Strike is a Monk skill that I usually use to evade enemies by knocking them back away from my character's location. When used it can inflict 426-512 damage. My impression of this Monk skill is that it is best to use on a group of enemies.
Final Thoughts
Those are all the Monk skills that I unlock at level 20 and up. The skills that I already unlocked are very good and very fun to use just like the Demon Hunter. But I do feel that the Monk is a little bit stronger than the Demon although they are completely different characters, the Monk is melee, while the Demon Hunter is ranged.
