This week featuring Tales of Vesperia & Valkyria Chronicles.
Weekly updates on the games I play, fun stuff and the interesting screenshots I take. #ScreenshotSaturday is where I put a digest of my gaming through the week. (In GameDev scene, ScreenshotSaturday is a weekly event for developers to show their progress.)
November ended and we're already in the last month of 2020... Looking back this wasn't one of the easier years in the past decade and the world has gone through multiple shifts in this year alone.
This is another week in which I spend a lot of time on the internet and I managed to almost publish an article per day. I've became addicted to d.Buzz with a record of 5 microblogs per day. I'm thinking of going back to my older articles to write better versions of them in the future right now.
For gaming I did play my main JRPGs: Valkyria Chronicles and Tales of Vesperia, the latter of which I have screenshots from the last week as well. I love how both games have "V" in their name...
Valkyria Chronicles
I played another 2 chapters of Valkyria this week and some Skirmishes. Since I couldn't change the difficulty, I thought it would be a good idea to train between levels because I don't want to lose an hour of progress every time I realize I'm not strong enough for the Mission yet.
It's been a long time since I played a game that you could go a whole hour without saving. Missions could go on for hours, and if one is too hard for you, you might realize that you have to restart the whole mission with a better team rather than from a save.
If you're playing this game, I advice you to save often and have at least two In-Mission saves in case unexpected enemy appeared.
Can't help but appreciate this Melon Eating scene! I even wrote about it on d.Buzz
I'm sure I'll like this guy!
First Mission about dealing with Land Mines. Success!
...!! Exactly my Reaction! I'm more worried that he's the only one who thought that.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition
My playthrough of Tales of Vesperia reached another turning point. The more I play the more I realize how fitting the title is. Despite being the name of the heroes team, "Vesperia" means something in the game's lore and in an-unsurprising twist, that lore is deeply connected to the heroes themselves.
This week I finished Nordpolica's arc of the story, considering how it ended I don't think we'll go back there until the end of the game.
Flynn confronted Yuri again and I love how tense the situation becomes every time they're both on the screen. If we look at Flynn and Yuri character arcs from a traditional JRPG perspective, we're playing as the penultimate boss of Flynn's heroic story. At least that's how I see it for now, I'm sure Flynn will join our side eventually... I think...?
Sometimes we think we're special for some weird reasons. Most of the time? We're not...
It's nice to see Rita initiating this Sing of Victory. Good story/gameplay integration.
Estelle is so brave to ask about something that might mean her death...
TENSE SITUATION! These two guys want the same thing but their methods are opposite...
Just realized that I'm playing this game in average of 2 hours per week. Oops!
How was your week?
If you have any screenshots to share post them in comments! You're also free to comment about my screenshots or my weekly updates! Would love to hear your reaction
