This week featuring Tales of Vesperia and Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission.
Weekly updates on the games I play, fun stuff and the interesting screenshots I take. #ScreenshotSaturday is where I put a digest of my gaming through the week. (In GameDev scene, ScreenshotSaturday is a weekly event for developers to show their progress.)
This post is late, and not because I'm posting it on Sunday... I didn't spend too much time on gaming lately, all my free time was spent on #anime stuff instead. That doesn't mean I didn't play anything, I made a huge progress in Tales of Vesperia in the past two weeks, I also completed the Tutorial in Dragon Ball Heroes Demo and loved the self-awareness that game has!
In non-gaming related stuff, the blackouts of Libya got worse so I made it a routine to download YouTube videos and watch them until my Smartphone battery runs out. My Internet balance was my only limit. I've watched many things I wouldn't have otherwise and there are things I want to write about when I get the opportunity so stay tuned!
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition
In the past two weeks I've progressed quite a lot in Tales of Vesperia and I understand how the world worked a bit better now. I think I probably have all the playable characters now. (Flynn joined at one point but left the team.)
MAYBE A SPOLIER: The character I like the development of the most right now is Estelle. She learns how to be better princess while doing things unrelated to the throne. Yuri's brilliant at making her discover herself, without telling her anything. He himself needs someone to help him with his personality problems, but he's the best person to help Estelle with hers.
The Vesperia team also made a rivalry with a few of the villains by now. The first sub-plot has already finished, but the villain that pulls the strings right now is a corrupt knight. One of the evil guilds works for him right now. Anyway, despite Yeager's terrible personality, I find a potential of a great villain in him and I hope the game's does that potential justice!
Played enough JRPGs to know that this myth is their world's actual history...
Will probably be very important later.
This can be a dangerous thing to say out of context!
You know you're screwed when the antagonist's minion is strong enough to Party Wipe you.
Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission
I™ like card games and I™ read that this game boasted the most Dragon Ball characters of any video game! It was inevitable that I™ at least try the Demo, and it was different than I™ expected in a good way!
The story follows human characters, who make DBZ-style avatars to play a Dragon Ball card game using the actual Dragon Ball characters into a Virtual Dragon Ball world, to save that virtual world... The main character was so excited to be told he can meet Goku. He's still excited after being told he won't meet the real one, just a virtual version of Goku.
In short you play as a Dragon Ball fan™ who travels into a virtual version of Dragon Ball world and meet virtual version of the characters he love. The main character is every fan™ inside of us!
Yay, that's me™!
Don't know who's behind the mask but I™ like him already!
Don't know who she is, (Galaxy Note?!) but I™ like her already!
So, that was my week!
I don't have much else to say, instead of my hope that the blackouts where I live just stop. I mean we barely have 6 hours of electricity a day right now. The Libyan government (if you can call what's left of it one,) stopped even giving us reassuring lies that everything is going to be okay. It sucks but I want to keep my hope alive.
How was your week?
Do you have some screenshots or stories to share? Please post them in comments. I didn't receive a lot of comments on this post series so I hope you tell me if you like it.
