Double air assassinated guards that threatened people to finish off a witness. There were quadruple enemies, these were the last ones.
The witness escapes and thanked her while leaving. She found a letter next to the chair where the captive was positioned. It said to interrogate the guy and to make sure he didn’t spill the bean to nobody.
Aveline found the merry band of smugglers doing their work. She asked them to help transport George to the North. Élise wanted to help but told that they themselves were in trouble. The Spanish soldiers had asked them to return their stolen goods to the patriots. But the Spanish troops were trying to steal the goods themselves. Aveline and George agreed to help them.
Aveline got on the raft where George, Élise and Roussillon was present. The boatman started to paddle. Within moments the guards tried to hold them back and were shooting at the raft. Aveline eliminated them all.
The raft ran its course and the goods were safe. A patriot commander received it. Aveline asked the soldier to take George with him. The soldier agreed to take him in with the condition that he fight for the patriotic cause. Geaorge agreed.
Aveline now now headed towards Nouvelle Orleans(New Orleans). On her way, she looted a few stray chests.
Business was booming, literally. Aveline made 200k+ of cash trough trading!
Although, buying the raw materials costed about 100k+ worth of cash. Tis’ wasn’t for nothing though, the profits should be 1.5x greater than the cost.
Business was over, now was the time to get back to the true business, the whereabouts of the supposed Company Man, Vásquez. Blanc reports that since the last 2 weeks he had lost 2 informants, poisoned and killed. He suggested the Capitan’s ball where he might attend. He wrote Aveline’s participation in it.
Aveline reached the ball at night. Blanc was stationed outside the gates by the carriage. She went in and tried to belle in with the crowd.
At first, she met a duo of men. Both were disgusting by nature. They laughed about one country’s internal strife cause them to get richer and that wars were a good thing for them. Aveline approached them. One of them asked about her father’s health and asked for a chance to dance with him, to showcase her beauty in her father’s stead.
She then meets another two fine gentle men who were from the army. They discussed how one of their own left the army for more profits that was offered by the some men to serve in someone’s personal unit. The young recruit denied the offer. Aveline approached the men. The captain said that she looked familiar. Aveline said that it was understandable as they had more important affairs to deal with and thanked the men for their services to the country. You can see that there were people behind them, couples who were fighting one another for a woman.
Finally, she saw 3 soldiers after the same lady. The lady played the part of a shy damsel. Each of suggested that they dance with the lady, the best one among them would get the lady. Aveline interrupted and said that daughters of rich fathers only had eyes for governors, not guards. The lady lost her face and shit talked about her behind her back. The guards also asked for Aveline’s to give them a chance to dance.
Aveline then uses her eagle vision and found Vásquez. She gave him her leaflet where he happily signed to dance with him.
The duo then went for a dance.
Aveline called Vásquez to a more private conversation in a discreet place. The man leapt with joy in his mind and asked her to guide him.
Aveline brought the man behind the house and executed him. She accuses him of being the company man. He laughed and said that she took a pointless kill. He wasn’t the man and that the actual person would make her suffer.
Aveline was on her way to meet Blanc but her stepmother showed up. She chastised about attending a ball while her father was so sick. Aveline tried to explain but was silenced. She told Aveline that her father had passed away at home. Aveline was awestruck.
Madeline told her that her father could not leave anything for Aveline. Aveline strictly told her that she only cared about her father. The trading business was handed down to Blanc. Gérald said that the business was Aveline’s by right and he considered it as hers.
Aveline went to the nearby outpost where a letter was hidden. It said that the help of the American friend would further boost their reconstruction of network. One of the informants informed that a loyalist in New York may unravel the identity of the company man with a little pressure. She now had to go toward New York and meet with her brother in arms Connor. He would aid in locating a certain officer.
Aveline travelled to the alps of New York where another hooded assassin was present.
