Hello guys hope all of you are doing good.
Arriving at the scene of investigation with Élise. Supposedly, the place withheld slaves and the Spanish guarding fort. Aveline met Élise outside who scouted the area and saw that the place was lightly protected. Aveline then notifies that this wasn’t the first time she saw slaves and Spanish go hand in hand. The first time she saw was a plot to control the governor and move slaves to some underground project. Aveline did put a stop to that yet they had to be sure once again.
Aveline took out the guard silently using her poison darts from the bushes. Stealth was of the essence.
All the guards were taken care of and the slaves were secure to interact with. The captives were not too happy to see their rescuers. They wanted to be taken away to some faraway land just to getaway from their wretched colony. The man further complained that his death would be here, in a cesspool of a colony.
Élise suggested for Aveline to get out of there before more people would be too “happy” to see their saviour while she would escort them back to San Danje.
The way the lady put her hands behind as to cover her belonging only made me want to take it away that much more. She was not a -well to do- woman judging from the looks. I join just wanted to make her and her belonging wanted😌.
Also tried to clean the pockets of a cleaner. He was gobsmacked when he saw that a well tailored woman was having a dirty look at his pockets. 😂
Aveline met with her informant. The man told her that the prices of things at the market were skyrocketing. The man’s name was Ratel. He, unethically, extorted profits from the merchants and to compensate the loss the merchants had to raise the price and give less for trade.
Aveline reached the docks and saw the man guarded by a few soldiers. I had to play stealthily and got rid of the extras. Here, I used a poison dart and killed the poor or should I say rich fellow in the neck, ultimately killing him.
This time, Aveline finally found proof of Spanish involvement with the disappearing slaves issue. However, the ones who were being kidnapped looked forward to their transfer. No one at the fort could tell their destination.
Blanc suggested that the directive must’ve been passed from the Governor Ulloa. This might be a reason why he hides in La Balize and does not come out like a true leader. Aveline intended to find his true purpose but that could not happen if he decided to stay in La Balize. The duo then brain stormed ideas. Excessive restrictions were imposed by the Spanish “gouverneur” so even the merchants were “begging” for a riot. Aveline decided to blend in with the crowd and create a riot.
Aveline incited a riot prior to he meeting with Blanc. Blanc came across an interesting piece of information. A carriage transferring gunpowder was to be transported outside the city outpost.
Aveline had to change her getup. Blanc suggested that she take her true guise and have her weapons at her side. Aveline was surprised to hear that Blanc would also accompany her. He told her that he didn’t want her to have all the fun. Beside he would help by navigating.
The place was moderately guarded. Aveline took out all the guard with her poison darts.
The coast was clear, Aveline hopped in the carriage. A guard spotted them.
She waved at Blanc to get in quickly.
The guard alerted the others who were stationed nearby. The other guards fired at the wagon of gunpowder. A flammable substance when a fire is in contact. Luckily both of them missed the carriage.
Blanc was totally loosing his cool and was not thinking straight. . He was giving wrong direction throughout the journey.
Somehow the wagon caught a bullet the barrels were about to explode, a fire was caught by the wooden wagon. Aveline shouted for Blanc to grab the horse. Aveline got on leaving poor Blanc still on the wagon.
Blanc, still on the carriage rethinking his life decisions XD. He jumped for the hours eBay his end by couldn’t get on. He fell on the road from the moving carriage with a thud.
The carriage crashed into a wine store.
Trapping some rioters and Spanish guards inside.
The Spanish guard didn’t leave the burning place was still trying to kill the only woman trying to save the. They died regardless and the rioters were saved.
Blanc told that now that the wine shop was totalled this would get the attention of the governor of Spanish regime. Aveline sneered that the Spanish wine was a better floor polish anyway, Savage XD. Aveline told that they should get Ulloa out of La Balize. Blanc suggested to meet inside the warehouse to further strategise. Feline made light of Blanc’s actions during the chase. That level of excitement should last him for some time.
I didn’t know until this time that we could pickpocket from the magistrate himself. I did assassinate one though out of pure curiosity.
