Hello, gamers of Hive! I hope you are doing well.
Well, after 6 whole months later, I finally got to play with my dear friend, who is still skeptical about the ins and outs of the crypto world.
In the first half, we were just catching on about each other's University lives, work, and friends, without sharing our vital information on stream(don't worry we aren't complete idiotsđ). And then we reached the "cryptic" discussion. This was where we talked about how the web3 game designers made money. He was stuck on the fact that
Regardless, you could still enjoy the number of games we ended with gleeful cheers and disheartened moans. Yet, somehow, this moron thinks that I was the one who was dragging him downâŚ
There were plenty of matches where I carried us to victory.
In total, we played for over an hour and 38 minutes but still no victory.
Short Description Of The Games We Played In
The first round was at Dizzy Heights. His statement was true here. He finished way before most of them had finished and I came at 21st place, and luckily we were the last to qualify.
The second round was at Party Promenade. I came in at 9th place and he at 19th. Whoâs carrying who boiii!
The third round was at Snowball survival. This was where he asked what NFTs were. I tried to explain with a simple analogy. I told that they were more like those old PokĂŠmon cards that were unique and hence they have a certain value. People can buy them, trade them, or sell them to others for real money. And just then, I fell to my death⌠he screamed him head off XD. Asking me to concentrate more instead of explaining. We somehow didnât qualify for the round.
The first round was at Gate Crash. He came in 5th position and I at 17th. Got a total of 38 points, enough to quality with the top 20%.
The second round was at Treetop Tumble. I came in with 6 points, enough to qualify for the roundđŽâđ¨. This was where he called me out on being bad at the game, that he was carrying us the entire game. I laughed it off.
The third round was at a new map called Blastlantis. A small map with smaller platforms, each separated by a stair with rotators on distinct parts of the platform. There were bomb spawn areas and luckily I spawned just beside one. This time it was him who kicked the bucket early. I held on, battling the people for the bombs while they tried to rip it off from me.
The timer hit zero and hence we qualified for the round.
The fourth round was at Roll Out. This was a dreaded map for many, including myself. This time, I discovered that there were fruits being dropped on the rollers. We were supposed to dodge them and keep out footing clean. I bit the dust moments after the round started, I was overwhelmed ngl and then him. We didnât win in this round too.
And that match ended before we got to the final round.
The First Round was at Full Tilt. An easy map, we both completed very quickly and we got the 3rd place as a team.
The second round was, again, at Treetop Tumble. I was happy that we got another familiar map. I got 10th position and my friend got 12th. Our squad position was 7th.
The third round was at Slime Climb. We both knew what a nightmare this map was for everyone this first time it came out. We laughed out loud when we saw this.
We made out of it in due time and position.
The fourth round was at Blastlantis, again. I was in the safest region while he was getting bombarded. I asked him to come where I was and we both laughed our asses off when we saw that nobody was paying any attention to us and we so we cruised through that round with no effort.
The fifth and final round was at Hex-A-Gone. Dreadful and frightening. This was a true every man from himself. Samin was sad, he told me that he couldâve won it but it had been a long time since he played in this map. Regardless, we put up a great contest, yet we could not win.
Just like this, we played 7 more matches but, sadly, at the end of the day we still didnât get a victory. But, we did encounter a new map in the last match.
The first round was at Gate Crash. A simple map that we were familiar with. I missed the last Jim for which I scored 11 points, he didnât and scored 23 points. This time, he did carry me.
The second round was at the new map called Speed Slider. The unique thing about this map was that running was close to being useless. It was all about the momentum.
This map had many layers. This proved that if you run out of momentum, you are royally f***** and may not be able to see play past this round.
I wished had taken the middle road instead of the left one. The middle one wouldâve lead me straight to the sink hole. Regardless, I got 22 points and he got 12. I carried us this time.
The third round was at Hoopsie Legends. This was a place where I seldom lose, but it entirely depended on the person with whom I play it with.
A crucial moment in the game. We needed to pass through 3 more hoops and a golden hoop had spawned that nobody was able to get. So, when my friend got on top of this ramp I moved it closer to the hoop. Later, I see that more people were getting ready to claim it. But, they all failed. I moved the ramp a little bit closer and Samin got that hoop, granting us that sweet victory(qualification).
The fourth round was at a small course map called The Swiveller. This map had multiple traps set out and a fan of doom that would until the time of survival would decrease to zero.
Unfortunately, my friend had lost his footing mid match and was thrown off course. I was the one carrying us⌠until I was hit by one of the revolving candy bars that pulled me high in the air and dropped me out of the course. That ended our game for the day.
We did finish the game with a laugh at the end of the rounds. I hope to get to play with this guy once more before our semester starts.
Thank you guys for reading this far, I hope you enjoyed the gameplay. See you legends on the next one.
