Through time humans, monkeys, dogs and even robots have traveled to the moon, but one of the species that has never traveled to the moon are rabbits or it was until now. Ubisoft brings us this game of quite animated and peculiar rabbits that with so many crazy things that they do, it occurs to them to go to the moon. The normal thing would be to think that rabbits try to sneak into a rocket, mingling with the astronauts, but our beloved rabbits are not that smart so the only idea which they think it can bring them to the moon is by collecting a lot of objects to make a mountain so big as to reach the moon.
Rabbids Go Home was designed and published by Ubisoft in November 2009 and it was the first time that our beloved rabbits parted ways with Rayman and had an independent game, this game was released for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS but both versions have differences, the version that we will talk about is the version of the Nintendo Wii. I have a special affection for this game and its entire franchise because they are video games that I played in my childhood and I loved them a lot, who does not love to hear rabbits yelling Bwaaaah! everywhere? which despite being a somewhat desperate and exhausting cry is what represents our beloved rabbids.
Let´s Conquer The Moon!
The rabbids are tired of trying to dominate the earth so one day they decide to better conquer the moon by making a mountain with objects stolen from humans, all this seems very simple but our actions will trigger a total chaos in the city making us win the rejection of humanity and decide to create a brigade of exterminators accompanied by dogs and even robots to eliminate us and thus end all the chaos we have caused.
In this game we will control a group of rabbits that will be with a supermarket shopping cart which we must drive to the end of the level collecting objects, but to complete a level we will have to carry the XL object to the end of the level, which as their name implies they are large objects that will make our mountain of stolen objects grow faster.
Some XL objects, especially when they are at half level, could give us special abilities such as more speed, being able to float among other things, all this will depend on the XL object that we have collected.
In addition to everything described, we can use the iconic scream of our beloved rabbits to stun people, undress them, steal objects and we can even break objects but this scream will not always keep us safe since several of our enemies will use soundproof helmets so as not to be stunned.
Usually we will only have 2 rabbits but if we point our wii remote at the screen and shoot, a rabbit will fly out which will be effective to carry out attacks or open a lock. A very curious detail in the gameplay is that our beloved rabbits are not very intelligent but their life is represented by 3 light bulbs that indicate their intelligence, if we are attacked and we lose them all we will return to the beginning or where we have saved our game with the collecting rabbids.
How Does It Look?
Although this game is quite old since it was released 11 years ago on the Nintendo Wii, graphically it is quite colorful and with a good level of detail recreating the planet earth with 3d graphics but with a slightly cartoonish tone that gives it a certain air of freshness to this kind of game, I think for being a Wii game it looks really great. Rabbids Go Home despite being an old game is very good and entertaining even in the time we are in and it is that with our beloved rabbits trying to reach the moon we will live incredible adventures full of madness and fun thanks to them. As I said above, this is the first game starring the Rabbids that does not have Rayman next to it, it is a nice breath of fresh air and to tell the truth I feel that it is a fairly competent game
