Greetings Gamers
In this video, my level 12 Dwarven Cleric heads into the sunken shrine area of Meadow Lake in search of a legendary giant turtle named Gordukar on the Vanguard -Saga Of Heroes Emulation server.
I found this quest at a little gypsy campsite, not far from the Themwars Dam quest hub area.
The first thing we need to do for this quest is to find a chunk of edible spider flesh which is looted from these giant spiders.
The spiders roam on the opposite side of the dam from the campsite near Meadow Lake. Now that we have the spider flesh we need to head back over to the lake.
The lake hides a sunken shrine close to a chunk of fallen meteroite
As part of this quest we get a few potions of enduring breath so we can fight underwater and not drown.
Now that we have drank the potion of enduring breath we can dive down to the lakebed and place the spider flesh bait.
Placing the bate quickly draws the attention of Gordukar, a turtle with a mouth big enough to snap my dwarf up in one bite!.
For a level 12 cleric the fight was relatively straight forward, hhowever just the sheer size and look of the boss turtle made it feel like fighting a dragon underwater.
Once the beast is slain we are free to loot its shell.
Time to get out of the lake...
Im sure the gypsy girl that gave me the quest will be thrilled at the treasure we have brought her.
As a reward we can choose from 2 different maces. I go for the one which gives 5 Wisdom and 26 hitpoints.
Completeing the quest opens up a new quest called Dwarven Masterwork
We need to take the shell to a Dwarven weaponsmith at Themwars shield to have a weapon crafted from it.
The mace will only give us 24 extra energy so its not a big upgrade but it is pretty cool to have this trinket crafted out of a legendary turtles shell by a Dwarven smith.Lets head over to the dam.
Here we find Retgur Goldforge the weapons vendor.
We give him the shell and he gives us the ornate mace you see by my character's side in this shot.
With the quest complete its time to see what other quests this area has to offer.
