Hello hive, as you can see, I am not dead. I just didn't have the time to write anything in the last few months, and this trend might continue for some time, the master's degree requires a lot of work. Well, back to the game.
Brothers, a Tale of Two Sons, can't be described as anything else than a cute family game, with a small exception in a level. It's an adventure, in which both characters have a significative role, the ability to work together being their main advantage in the world, because neither of them can complete the quest on their own.
Story
! [The story] Two sons are in a quest to retrieve an antidote for their dad, following a map, they adventure through different environments, collaborating to advance past certain puzzles, and interacting with the surrounding world.
Controls
This is a unique factor about this game that I haven't encountered lately. You control both characters at the same time, each using half of a controller. The control schema is still simple through, movement on a stick, and interaction on a trigger, or if you prefer a keyboard, WASD + Shift and Arrow Keys and Ctrl.
The thing is, the game is much better is you play it with someone else, each holding a part of the controller.
There's not much that you can tell about this game, because it's not that long either, it took me and 3 hours to complete it with all achievements. Yeah, it's one of the easiest games to master, you just have to explore the world besides the main quest, and try different stuff that's intractable.
Battlefield scene
The scene that doesn't make this the best family game, you travel through a battlefield of giants, and you have to interact with some dead bodies in order to clear the path.
Final impression
Even through the game is pretty short, it's very atmospheric, the artwork is unique, and a great experience if you want to play something casual with someone.
Info
All the images were captured during my gameplay.
Steam
Steam has it on sell pretty often, right now you can get the game for €3.74, it's a little bit short for the whole price.
