If you've read at least two of my posts on Hive, you'll notice that I'm a big fan of indie games. That quality of a game that comes from some kid living in their parents' basement, I think, simply can't be replicated by the big studios, and it's become one of my all-time favorite niches.

Today, I want to recommend some of the games I've been trying out here and there that I haven't seen before. I haven't published them on Hive yet, so they're going through my filter before I even think about writing a post analyzing them. Several of these are still in demo phase, so we'll just explore their gameplay and general idea.

Rue Valley

A top-notch game, plus it's still in a demo and we can play it for free on Steam. It's about a man in a small town who's trapped in a time loop. The goal is to avoid going crazy, discover characters and their relationship to our problem, and find a way out of that loop. The graphics alone are screaming at me to play it.

Besides the fact that the entire game has a huge Twin Pines vibe, the title's vintage aesthetic and some hints of graphic adventures here and there make it one of my most anticipated titles of 2025. But as I said, you can download the demo and try the first chapter on Steam for free.

Potion Permit

A Stardew Valley-style video game, but with the difference that here we are an apprentice wizard who comes to the valley to learn how to make all kinds of potions. In between, there's a whole friendship system as well as secondary activities, so in some ways, it's quite similar to Stardew Valley if it were in a fantasy world.

Although this game is already available for purchase at full price, it also has a free demo on Steam where you can play the first half hour. It's one of those games you play when you're tired of work. and you want to reach a separate world and stay and make all kinds of potions

Neverway (Nevermorrow)

And in that same vein, we also have this game, which at first is also sold as a farm simulator, but this time there's a whole story behind it that involves psychology, horror, and suspense. I think it's going to be one of the ones I play the most due to its decision-making system. Just seeing the first screen and how its design and gameplay look makes me want to jump right into it. world, also has RPG touches

This one is still in development, and although I remember it had a demo, it's no longer available and we'll have to wait for it to be released or for more information about it. But just seeing what it'll be like from its trailers, I think it'll be something very similar to Undertale.

Savior

We close with this awesome game coming our way, a platform and action video game with pixel art aesthetics and a finish, especially in its animations, that I find exquisite. If you ever see some of the trailers for this game and you're a fan of video games like Katana Zero and others of that same style, this title will blow you away. Of course, it doesn't have a release date yet, but since I saw it, it's become one of my favorites. Main games to play.

Si has pasado por al menos dos de mis post por Hive podras notar que me gustan mucho los videojuegos independientes, esa caracateristica de un juego que ha salido de algun joven que vive en el sotano de sus padres creo que simplemente no lo pueden replicar los grandes estudios y se ha convertido en uno de mis nichos favoritos de todos los tiempos

Hoy quiero recomendarles algunos de los juegos que he venido probando aqui y alla y que no he publicado en Hive todavia, estan pasando por mi filtro antes de siquiera pensar en montar algun post analizandolos, varios de estos aun estan en una fase demo por lo que solo exploraremos su jugabilidad y su idea general

Rue Valley

Juego de primer nivel, ademas de que aun esta en una demo y podremos jugarlo gratis desde steam, trata sobre un hombre en un pequeño pueblo que está atrapado en un bucle temporal, el objetivo es no volverse loco, descubrir personajes y su relacion con nuestro problema y buscar la manera de salir de ese bucle, ya solo los graficos me gritan que lo juegue

Ademas de que todo el juego tiene una vibra de Twin Pines enorme, la estetica vieja del titulo y algunos tintes de las aventuras graficas aqui y alla hacen que sean de mis titulos mas esperados en este 2025, pero como les dije pueden descargarse la demo y probar su primer capitulo desde steam sin costos.

Potion Permit

Un videojuego al estilo de Stardew Valley pero con la diferencia de que aca somos un aprendiz a mago que llega al valle a aprender a hacer pociones de todo tipo, en el medio hay todo un sistema de amistades asi como actividades secundarias asi que en cierta forma si se parece bastante a Stardew Valley si fuese en un mundo de fantasia

Aunque este ya se puede comprar a precio completo tambien tiene una demo gratis en steam en donde puedes jugar su primera media hora, es uno de esos juegos que juegas cuando estas cansado del trabajo y quieres llegar a un mundo aparte y quedarte a hacer pociones de todo tipo

Neverway (Nevermorrow)

Y en esa misma sintonia tambien tenemos este juego que al comienzo se vende tambien como un simulador de granja pero esta vez hay toda una historia detras que involucra psicologia, terror y suspenso, creo que va a ser uno de los que mas juegue debido a su sistema de decisiones y solo con ver la primera pantalla y como se ve su diseño y jugabilidad me entran unas ganas de caerme de una vez en su mundo, tambien tiene toques de RPG

Este todavia esta en desarrollo y aunque recuerdo que tuvo alguna demo presente esta ya no esta disponible y toca esperar a que lo saquen definitivamente o haya mas informacion al respecto, pero solo viendo como será por sus trailers creo que sera algo muy parecido a Undertale

Savior

Cerramos con este pedazo de juego que se nos viene, un videojuego de plataformas y accion con estetica pixel art y con un acabado sobretodo en sus animaciones que me parece exquisito, si alguna vez pueden ver algunos de los trailers de este juego y son amantes de videojuegos como Katana Zero y otro de ese mismo estilo este titulo les hará perder la cabeza, por supuesto todavia no tiene una fecha de lanzamiento pero desde que lo vi se ha convertido en uno de mis principales juegos a jugar.

Y bueno esa ha sido una lista buena y corta, si les gusta este titpo de contenido por favor haganmelo saber abajo y los espero para la proxima vez, gracias por pasar!
