Cave Story
This game is an oldie by this point but I still remember it fondly, back at the beginning of the millennium the idea of what an independent video game was, that someone could, from anonymity, release a work that reached a mass audience only by their own means, the community also began to gain power in all this and Cave Story is one of the first games that became absolutely viral only with the help of the internet and a large community around this game.

Habia estado esperando que pasara esta semana para poder publicar sobre esto, no es una sorpresa en si misma pero si que es uno de los mejores titulos que Epic ha regalado en lo que va del año, como saben si son participes con una cuenta de Epic Games pueden agarrar para siempre un juego gratis cada semana, un regalo que esta dando esta desarrolladora para los jugadores.

Cave Story
Este juego ya para este punto es un oldie pero aun lo recuerdo con mucho cariño, por alla a principios del milenio aun no estaba para nada asentada la idea de lo que era un videojuego independiente, que alguien pudiese, desde el anonimato, lanzar una obra que llegase a un publico masivo solo por sus medios, la comunidad tambien empezo a ganar poder en todo esto y Cave Story es uno de los primeros juegos que se volvieron absolutamente virales solo con la ayuda del internet y de una comunidad extensa alrededor de este juego.
Es un titulo de plataformas clasico en 2D que involucra un heroe recorriendo terreno desconocido y en el que tambien se le da un enfoque en el uso de diversas armas para derrotar a los enemigos y jefes, a medida que se avanza podemos mejorar o cambiar esas armas por lo que tambien podremos definir de cierta forma nuestro estilo a la hora de jugar, ademas de que tambien hay un componente de exploracion, rompecabezas y muchas plataformas.
Hay mucha representacion del lore del internet de la epoca, mucho del imaginario de este juego se vio nutrido por la cultura del internet y creo que eso tambien ayudo a que se viralizara y tuviese esa acogida tan grande entre los jugadores, es un juego excelente y sin duda tienes que tomarlo cuando esta gratis, asi que veamos como se hace eso.
