Pokemon Firered NuZlocke - Un bosque, un lider gimnasio, nuevos amigos y una perdida tragica

He estado experimentando MUCHO con mi wii desde que pude meterle los emuladores, y es que la consola es el experimento más versátil que he tenido, recientemente descubrí que se podía instalar directamente los archivos WADS (que son algo así como canales en la Wii) de juegos de distintas consolas, es un proceso que es algo tedioso de preparar pero cuando terminas puedes encontrarte con imágenes como esta en donde Ocarina Of Time y Super Smash Bros llegan a la Wii sin necesidad de estar metiendo un pendrive o tener que meterte en otro canal secundario, se ve tan genial después de que no supiese que hacer con el menú de inicio de la Wii que la mayoría del tiempo esta vacío, quería compartirles eso primero antes de pasar a la siguiente orden del día.

Ya viendo siendo hora de retomar el desafío Nuzlocke que andaba haciendo en mi Wii y es que la verdad he estado jugando bastante sin documentar demasiado, es un poco difícil para mí estar sacando fotos de cada uno de los momentos importantes de la partida, pero me las arregle para capturar algunas de las batallas más suculentas de mi tiempo jugando, por ahora llevo 2 horas de partida y en el último post nos quedamos cruzando el bosque Viridian y la verdad es que este ha sido uno de los momentos más tensos dentro de la partida, verán en el bosque Viridian la mayoría de los Pokemon que hay son de tipo insecto y hay un ataque que los Pokemon de este tipo tienen que me pueden dejar en graves aprietos si no estoy preparado, hablo de un ataque que puede causar el efecto de envenenamiento en mi equipo y que no solo puede debilitarlo cada turno sino que también puede debilitarlo afuera de la batalla, mientras camino, por esta pesadilla es que traía en mi bolso un montón de pociones y antídotos en caso de que alguno de mi equipo lo necesitase, sobra decir que el bosque de Viridian fue un desafío con entrenadores de todos los lados más una hierba alta que cada vez que pisaba traía un nuevo pokemon salvaje.

Recuerdan esa regla de que solo se podía capturar el primer pokemon salvaje que consigamos y que solo podremos conseguir uno en cada ruta? Pues esta vez salió un Caterpie y si bien no es el Pokemon más deseado sí que podía servirme de escudo contra el efecto de envenenamiento de algunos pokemon de la zona, también debería decir que esta zona está REPLETA de entrenadores con pokemon tipo bicho por lo que estuve durante toda la experiencia teniendo que cuidar mi equipo y estar dándoles pociones a cada rato y cuidando cada movimiento, no fue fácil pero una vez Salí de ahí nos conseguimos con la Ruta 6 la cual no tenía demasiadas cosas pero luego estaba la ciudad Pewter la cual tenía nuestra primera pelea de gimnasio contra nada menos que Brock y su equipo de piedra, debo admitir que estaba más que confiado ya que mi pokemon inicial era de tipo agua y fue sencillo acabar con los dos pokemon del viejo y bueno de Brock, lamentablemente no grabe nada de la pelea, y también se me olvido tomarle una foto de la emoción de darle un one shot al Onix de Brock, pero en fin tenemos la primera medalla de muchas.

Después de la batalla fui a curar mis pokemon, a comprar algunas pociones extra y seguí mi ruta hacia lo desconocido, el medio me encontré a un asistente del profesor Oak que venía a dejarme unos zapatos para correr, y los iba a necesitar porque el juego iba a lanzarme una ruta llena de entrenadores con todo tipo de pokemon, afortunadamente estaba bien preparado para muchos de estos entrenadores y subi bastantes niveles a mi equipo, en especial a Petare, pero en el camino ocurrió una tragedia, el Caterpie que había nombrado Pipedemarciano fue alcanzado por un crítico que lo mando directamente al cementerio, era mi primera perdida en el equipo que después se encargaron de vengar tanto Toddy como Petare, recuerden que cada vez que un Pokemon es debilitado tengo que liberarlo por lo que de inmediato fui al PC del centro Pokemon y libere al Caterpie, adiós Caterpie, duraste como 5 minutos en el equipo pero te recordaremos siempre.

Después de esta pérdida decidí que eran suficientes emociones por ese día, no faltaba una última sorpresa, mi tortuga evoluciono en una tortuga aún más cool y poderosa, será mejor que sea una buena evolución ya que vamos a estar atascada con ella hasta el nivel 32 para que nuevamente evolucione. Además aún me falta una carretera llena de entrenadores dispuestos a aniquilar mis Pokemon y recuerdo también que más allá de esto esta una de las primeras pruebas del equipo Rocket así que será interesante que me espera al otro lado de la montaña, ¡eso es todo por hoy nos vemos en el próximo post!

Pokemon Firered NuZlocke - A forest, a gym leader, new friends and a tragic loss

I''ve been experimenting A LOT with my wii since I was able to get emulators on it, and the console is the most versatile experiment I''ve ever had, I recently discovered that you could directly install WADS files (which are kind of like channels on the Wii) from games on different consoles, it''s a process that is somewhat tedious to prepare but when you finish you can find yourself with images like this one where Ocarina Of Time and Super Smash Bros come to the Wii without the need to be sticking a flash drive or having to get into another back channel, it looks so cool after I didn''t know what to do with the Wii start menu that most of the time is empty, I wanted to share that with you first before moving on to the next order of business.

I' m seeing it's time to resume the Nuzlocke challenge I was doing on my Wii and the truth is that I've been playing quite a lot without documenting too much, it's a little difficult for me to take pictures of each of the important moments of the game, but I managed to capture some of the most succulent battles of my time playing, so far I've been playing for 2 hours and in the last post we were crossing the Viridian forest and the truth is that this has been one of the most tense moments in the game, You will see in the Viridian forest most of the Pokemon there are of insect type and there is an attack that the Pokemon of this type have that can leave me in serious trouble if I'm not prepared, I'm talking about an attack that can cause the poisoning effect on my team and that not only can weaken it every turn but it can also weaken it outside the battle, As I walk, because of this nightmare I brought in my bag a lot of potions and antidotes in case any of my team needed it, needless to say that the Viridian forest was a challenge with trainers from all sides plus a tall grass that every time I stepped on it brought a new wild pokemon.

Remember that rule that you could only catch the first wild pokemon you got and that you could only get one in each route? Well this time a Caterpie came out and although it is not the most desired Pokemon it could serve as a shield against the poisoning effect of some pokemon in the area, I should also say that this area is FULL of trainers with bug type pokemon so I was during the whole experience having to take care of my team and be giving them potions all the time and taking care of every move, It wasn't easy but once I got out of there we got to Route 6 which didn't have too much but then there was Pewter city which had our first gym fight against none other than Brock and his stone team, I must admit that I was more than confident since my initial pokemon was water type and it was easy to finish with the two pokemon of the good old Brock, unfortunately I didn't record anything of the fight, and I also forgot to take a picture of the excitement of giving a one shot to Brock's Onix, but anyway we got the first medal of many.

After the battle I went to heal my pokemon, to buy some extra potions and continued my route to the unknown, in the middle I met an assistant of professor Oak who came to leave me some running shoes, and I was going to need them because the game was going to throw me a route full of trainers with all kinds of pokemon, fortunately I was well prepared for many of these trainers and I raised quite a few levels to my team, especially Petare, but on the way a tragedy happened, the Caterpie that I had named Pipedemarciano was hit by a critical that sent him directly to the cemetery, it was my first loss in the team that later took care of avenging both Toddy and Petare, remember that every time a Pokemon is weakened I have to release it so I immediately went to the PC of the Pokemon center and released the Caterpie, goodbye Caterpie, you lasted about 5 minutes in the team but we will always remember you.

After this loss I decided that was enough emotions for that day, there was one last surprise left, my turtle evolved into an even cooler and more powerful turtle, it better be a good evolution since we are going to be stuck with it until level 32 for it to evolve again. Besides I still have a road full of trainers ready to annihilate my Pokemon and I also remember that beyond this is one of the first Team Rocket trials so it will be interesting what awaits me on the other side of the mountain, that's all for today see you in the next post!
