Yu-Gi-OH! The Duelists of the Rose is a game based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, developed by Konami and released for PlayStation 2 on September 6, 2001.
It was also the first Yu-Gi-Oh game to be released for the playstation 2.
History
At the beginning we will be shown two sides to which we can belong which are the side of the Red Rose or the side of the White Rose.
Depending on the side we choose we will have the other side as our enemy in the case of choosing the Red Rose we will be on the side of "Yugi" and we will start our duels against Weevil and Rex.
The objective of this game is to defeat each duelist in order to advance in history until we reach the final duelist who is presented differently from the side we choose.
In the case of belonging to the side of the Red Rose by defeating Richard, Yugi sends us to face "Kaiba", and Crawford after defeating them and gathering the 16 cards of the White Rose we will be able to invoke the "Guardian of the Cards".
Then we are presented with the final villain who turns out to be Manawyddan fab Llyr, being an invincible duelist besides using cards that are not very easy to get in the game, he is an extremely difficult opponent.
In the case of belonging to the side of the White Rose we will be on the side of "Kaiba" history will progress by defeating each duelist of the Red Rose, starting with Tea.
It is then that we will face "Yugi" as a semi-boss and by defeating him we will have the 16 cards of the Red Rose and we will invade fab Llyr.
Gameplay
What I love about this game is the playability that makes it slightly different from the Yu-Gi-Oh! that we all know is its playability certainly remains a card game but the execution feels different.
One of the things that makes the Yu-Gi-Oh! different from what we know is that in this game we don't just summon the card we want and enter the battle phase the gameplay is different since we will be able to move the cards around a terrain depending on the terrain will be in advantage or disadvantage and we will be able to move more space or less space.
This gives us something different from what we commonly know making it more fun and Exciting because to get into combat you need to get to the enemy's cards and very well that card can be a beast, trap or magic card.
We will have, so to speak, a leader card, just as the Duelist who faces these leaders can move or invoke any type of card.
In addition we can change the lead cards for another card of the deck that has been promoted in the same way they will be able to be acquiring skills that amplify the advantage the deck that we use.
For the invocations will depend on the number of stars that have the cards we will have to let one or two turns pass without invoking anything if it is a 5-7 star card.
We can also use fusion but in a different way than we know we can use up to 5 cards to perform a merge to invoke a higher level beast or simply to undo cards that we do not need.
To obtain more cards we will have the possibility to use the codes in the machine on the deck but we will only be able to ask for 1 card of the code we use.

Yu-gi-Oh! duelist of the roses is a well developed and elaborate game the only small the detail is that by having strong cards it will be easier to face the duelists, but Even so I loved the gameplay and the details with the animation made me hooked on this game a very good PS2 title.

Historia
Al inicio se nos mostrara dos bandos a los cuales podremos pertenecer que son el bando de la Rosa Roja o el bando de la Rosa Blanca.
Dependiendo del bando que escojamos tendremos al otro bando como enemigo en el caso de escoger la Rosa Roja estaremos del lado de "Yugi" y empezaremos nuestros duelos contra Weevil y Rex.
El objetivo de este juego es ir derrotando a cada duelista para poder ir avanzando en la historia hasta llegar al duelista final que se presenta de forma diferente con respecto al bando que escogemos.
En el caso de pertenecer al bando de la Rosa Roja al derrotar a Richard, Yugi nos manda a enfrentar a "Kaiba", y Crawford tras derrotarlos y reunir las 16 cartas de la Rosa Blanca podremos invocar al "Guardian de las Cartas".
Luego se nos presenta el villano final quien resulta ser Manawyddan fab Llyr, siendo un duelista invencible ademas de utilizar cartas que no se consiguen muy facil en el juego, es un oponente sumamente dificil.
En el caso de pertenecer al bando de la Rosa Blanca estaremos de lado de "Kaiba" la historia ira progresando venciendo a cada duelista de la Rosa Roja, iniciando con Tea.
Es entonces que nos enfrentaremos a "Yugi" como un semi-Jefe y al derrotarlo tendremos las 16 cartas de la Rosa Roja e invoncaremos a fab Llyr.
Jugabilidad
Lo que me encanto de este juego es la jugabilidad que lo hace ligeramente distinto al Yu-Gi-Oh! que conocemos todo es su jugabilidad ciertamente sigue siendo un juego de cartas pero la ejecucion se siente de otra forma.
Una de las cosas que hace diferente al Yu-Gi-Oh! que conocemos es que en este juego no solo invocamos la carta que queramos y entrar en fase de batalla la jugabilidad es distinta ya que podremos mover las cartas por todo un terreno dependiendo del terreno estará en ventaja o en desventaja y se podrá ir moviendo más espacio o menos espacio.
Esto nos da algo diferente a lo que comunmente conocemos haciendolo mas divertido y emocionante ya que para entrar en combate se necesitara llegar a las cartas del enemigo y muy bien esa carta puede ser una carta bestia, trampa o magica.
Tendremos por asi decirlo una carta lider al igual que el duelista que nos enfrentemos con estos lideres nos podremos mover o invocar cualquier tipo de cartas.
Además podremos cambiar las cartas lideres por otra carta de la deck que haya sido promovida de igual manera podran ir adquiriendo habilidades que amplifiquen la ventaja la deck que utilicemos.
Para las invocaciones dependeran la cantidad de estrellas que tengan las cartas tendremos que dejar pasar uno o dos turnos sin invocar nada si es una carta de 5-7 estrellas.
También podremos utilizar la fusión pero de una forma distinta a la que conocemos podremos utilizar hasta 5 cartas para realizar una fusión para invocar una bestia de mayor nivel oh simplemente para ir deshaciendo cartas que no necesitemos.
Para obtener más cartas tendremos la posibilidad de utilizar los códigos en la máquina de la deck pero solo se podrá pedir 1 carta del código que utilicemos.
Y la forma clasica es vencer a los duelistas la mejor manera de farmear las deck de los duelistas es esperar a que usen las bestias más fuertes y luego vencerlos para que sus cartas aparezcan en la maquina y solo necesitaremos mucha suerte de conseguirlas.
Además, los gráficos y la animación que tiene hacen que disfrutes más de este juego ya que podremos ver como las bestias batallan y también podremos ver las bestias una vez que estén boca arriba.
Banda Sonora
Lo que hace estos duelos entretenidos y emocionante son las canciones relajantes que tiene asi estes farmeando un duelista no te aburriras para nada.
Conclusion
Yu-gi-Oh! duelist of the roses es un juego bien desarrollado y elaborado el único pequeño detalle es que al tener cartas fuertes ya será más fácil enfrentarse a los duelistas, pero aun así este juego me encanto la jugabilidad y los detalles con la animación hicieron que me enganchara con este juego un muy buen título de la PS2.
