Legends of Runeterra reveals its plans to release content over the next few months and years. We have to go to Mount Targon and visit the Lunari and Solari.
The leaks were true, Targon will be the new region of the Riot Games card game based on League of Legends called Legends of Runeterra, and the protagonist of the new expansion 'The Call of the Mountain'. The official accounts of the game have published a video in which we can see a series of constellations and the confirmation of the name of this new set, while on the official website we have a text detailing the future plans of the game.
And it will be a very important expansion, because it will be from which Riot Games makes its structure of new content clear. To understand each other, The Call of the Mountain will be a set of cards that will be developed through three expansions, one every two months, for a total of six months of content. First there will be a large landing of playable content, to later be expanded with small doses every two months.
The Brazilian leak that told us about Samira and Seraphine as new League of Legends champions already told us that Targon was going to be the new region of Legends of Runeterra. This confirmation does nothing more than give more veracity to those two new LoL characters, which would be numbers 151 and 152; and that perhaps one of them could appear in Runeterra.
The Call of the Mountain will bring a total of 7 champions and 82 followers and spells on August 26, and will be supplemented every two months with 3 additional champions and up to 37 more followers and spells. In this way, on August 26, the scaffolding of the set and its key mechanics will disembark, to later put together the puzzle that will be the complete set after the two additional expansions within this theme.
As for who those 7 champions will be, keep in mind that it would make sense to expect that most are from Targon and there will be extra for the rest of the regions. Within the video there would be clues about these characters and some players already believe they see Aurelion Sol, Zoe or Leona. It should be remembered that the leaks spoke specifically of Aurelion, Diana, Leona, Soraka, Taric and Zoe.

Riot Games shows us the first four cards of the 89 that this first expansion will bring and also the first mechanic that will be released with the Targon set.
And it is a mechanic that already exists in League of Legends such as the Spell Shield. Sivir, Morgana or Nocturne can apply these types of shields that nullify the next ability used on that champion by the rivals. A 1: 1 translation of this is coming to Legends of Runeterra.
Bastion is the key spell that is revealed here, as it is a blast that grants Spell Shield to the ally you want. For 3 mana cost, it seems that we will finally have the defensive tool that many asked for against certain fixation spells. As if this were not enough we have the Judge at the top, a card that fits perfectly in archetypes with Ezreal.
In addition to the use of spells to empower the minions played, we also appreciated a reinforcement of the support mechanics. For those who do not remember, support is activated by attacking and having an ally on the right, to whom they grant a specific benefit. Both Mountain Rangers and Tyari the Traveler have Support as a keyword.
