This game ain't easy 😮💨
We continue the main story quest called "Death's Door" today. I can finally get past the red crystals that have often been blocking my path. These crystals are actually called Firegleam and I finally have a way to destroy them and discover new areas. Sylens seems to be helping me again or is he, I really cannot tell. We head inside of a massive gene hatch into Latopolis to discover more about the secrets that Forbidden West holds.
I really had a blast taking the time to figure out all of the different puzzles inside of this mysterious location. I actually struggled to traverse some parts of this, which you may find to be quite hilarious. This game doesn't make figuring things out super easy, but the game isn't impossible difficult either. I find the difficulty to be pretty perfect on the medium difficulty setting.
This mission gets pretty crazy. I am introduced to Beta, which is yet another clone of Aloy. Beta is accompanied by her handlers, which seem to be some ultra-powerful beings looking to control the world. I end up having to fight one of them named Erik Visser. He is basically invincible and has some of the coolest armor that I have ever seen. These bad guys also have some powerful machines called Specters fighting for them. It seems like a tribal warrior like Aloy will never stand a chance against these villains, but surely there is a way to survive.
I have decided that after this video, I won't be sharing any more of the main story from Forbidden West. I don't want to spoil it all for everyone who has yet to play, but I do want to make it clear that the story is interesting and worth experiencing. I believe that focusing more on other activities in the world that don't spoil the story so much will be a better thing to do. Be on the lookout for another Horizon video soon.
