It always comes to an end 🏜

I knew that after I defeated Phrike and obtained the Crimson Key to open the portal to the Crimson Wastes, my life wasn't going to become easy all of a sudden. I expected things to only become more difficult now that I was setting out through the second biome. The new enemy types were about to give me some serious trouble.

I noticed different alien creatures that were shooting in new patterns, behaving more aggressively, and even some with armor now. I was not ready at all for the things that were to come. I was being cautious as my eighth cycle had lasted well over an hour now. My success felt great, but I didn't want it to go to my head.

Sure enough, I encountered a beast that was too much for me to handle. I was taken out and returned to the crash site where I was to start all over again. Thankfully I no longer had to worry about defeating Phrike, so all that I needed to do during my next cycles would be to find the unlocked Crimson Portal and go back to the Crimson Wastes.

It is crazy to think that Returnal has six biomes in total and after several hours with the game, I am just now getting to the second one. I have to give mad props to anybody who successfully completes this game. Only true gamers will have what it takes to finish Returnal.
