Just made Phrike my bitch 🙌

Damn, this was one of the most rewarding wins for me in ages. It took me until my eighth cycle, but I have finally defeated the first biome's boss Phrike. This was a serious challenge and I was bested by Phrike three times before this. Upon finally coming out as the victor, I feel like such a badass.

I played my part perfectly and battled through all three health bars that Phrike possessed. That last one really was difficult, but I kept at it and finished this horrifying beast off. My reward was the Crimson Key which would unlock the portal to the Crimson Wastes. The only thing I had to do was safely make it to the portal before my last tiny bit of health was taken away by some lingering alien creature waiting to ruin my day.

I was a nervous wreck trying to get to the portal safely. I thought for sure I was about to have my first victory against Phrike ruined by a cheap shot. Luckily for me, I ended up making it to the portal and off to the second biome I went. Crimson Wastes had an entirely different look and feel to it and seems to be filled with all sorts of new enemy types.

I will be showing off more of Crimson Wastes in my next video, but for now, I am still celebrating my win over Phrike. Returnal has pushed me to keep trying after failure more than any other game has done in recent time. I look forward to sharing what is next in this strange world.
