The beta comes to an end
Now that I have had some time with Battlefield 2042, the hype for its release is still there. I was able to play several hours of the beta and got a pretty good impression of what to expect from the game come November. Natural disasters like the tornado do not play as big of a role as I was expecting. They are cool, but by no means are they happening nonstop.
One of my favorite additions to BF with 2042 is the ability to swap your weapon attachments on the fly. This means that once you figure out what your favorite weapon is, you can use it for pretty much any encounter. It is very easy to do too, no heavy menus or anything. In fact, you can swap your scope, barrel, and whatever else you want in just a few seconds.
I know that the developers have a lot of work ahead of them. There are many bugs that need to be ironed out, mainly graphical issues for me. Textures not loading, stuff like that. The gameplay feels good to me though.
I am most looking forward to seeing what the close-quarters game modes without vehicles play like. Those tend to be my favorite and I know with Battlefield V it was always a blast to play.
What are you most looking forward to about Battlefield 2042? Did you play the beta? What did you think of it? I've got the game preordered for PS5, I know I will be playing it a lot once it is finally released.
