Will I ever make it❓

Usually, if I continually fail with a video game, I tend to lose interest. Something about my difficult times in Returnal keep me coming back for more abuse. Selene and I just won't give up on our journey to figure out what is actually going on with this strange planet that has me stuck in a time loop.

I'm not sure why I feel the need to go into every single room that appears, but that is what I do. I do not want to miss out on something important and I certainly do not want to run away from a challenge. Maybe I need to reconsider the way I play Returnal.

A few minutes into my sixth cycle, I rushed into another Containment Gate. The first time I did one of these, I had no idea how hard it was going to be. This time I was at least aware, but still, I was overly confident that I would survive. I was shredded by some crazy enemies in no time and this led to the shortest cycle that I have played yet.

Despite continually being killed in Returnal, I am determined to find Phrike once again and defeat this first boss. I have never been stuck on the first level of a game for so long. As hard as Returnal has been, I am still loving this game tremendously and think that it is one of the best PS5 games that I have played.
