Heroes never die 🎮 🏆🛡
After many years of playing Overwatch, the sequel to the competitive first-person hero shooter is finally upon us. Well, kind of.
Overwatch 2 was just released in early access form on October 4th. The game is transitioning to a free-to-play model, which means anybody on PlayStation/Xbox/PC/Switch will be able to play the game at no cost.
There is much controversy surrounding Overwatch as to whether or now 2 is a true sequel. As Blizzard once claimed, they are changing what the meaning of a sequel is with Overwatch 2.
The original Overwatch ceases to exist and will transform into a slightly altered Overwatch 2. There will be some new characters, maps, and modes. Most of the new content lies in tweaks to certain characters. The main change is going from 6v6 to a less chaotic 5v5. This means there will only be one tank on each team. That may sound like a tiny change, but it changes how the game plays entirely.
To me, it seems like Overwatch 2 is turning into a game more geared toward players like myself. I enjoy playing as a team, but I'm rarely on the mic and spend a lot of my moments trying to solo a team on a flank with heroes such as Reaper or Tracer.

In today's video, you will get to watch one of my first games of Overwatch 2. I will be comparing it to the original Overwatch game, which is still fresh in my mind as I was just playing it last weekend. I think this game is going to resurface as one of the most popular multiplayer titles. Going free very well may allow a large number of new gamers to fall in love with what Overwatch has to offer.

I have well over 100 hours with the original Overwatch and I see myself playing Overwatch 2 for many more years. There is a ton of content slated for future release and they even have huge plans for a PvE mode to compliment the competitive PvP.
