I've spent many hours designing stylish liveries and taking realistic photos in Gran Turismo 7. This is what a racing sim should be like. Not only does this game give you the opportunity to race and tune your car collection exactly how you want, but it also gives you the opportunity to take high-quality photographs with the in-game photo mode called Scapes.
I've posted images of some of my cars a few times before, but I've yet to share one of my favorite designs, the Dolphin Audi TTS. You can see in my Daltono logo that I am a huge fan of dolphins. They are one of the coolest creatures on planet earth, in my opinion.
When it comes to car manufacturers, Audi is right up near the top of my favorites list. This is partially due to the fact that I drive an Audi A4 in the real world, but also simply because Audi is one of the best German automakers in the entire world. Did you know that Audi was the first company to implement AWD on a sedan, using their famed Quattro system beginning in 1980? Until then, AWD capabilities were reserved for bigger vehicles such as trucks, and it was called 4WD.
I'm not sure why GT7 has the TTS in the game and not the TTRS, which is the faster and more race-oriented version. I guess the current option is much better than the base TT though. Outside of the R8, the TTS is my favorite Audi in GT7. I wish they had more RS options such as the RS3, RS4, RS5, RS6 Avant, or RS7. Maybe they'll add them in a future update, but I doubt it considering they still haven't even added the new C8 Corvette and so many other popular cars.
When creating the livery for this TTS, I wanted to focus on a few things. The first is the inclusion of many different dolphin designs. You may notice the Dolphin Emulator logo for instance. I also wanted to focus heavily on the ocean. Then, of course, the colors I wanted were blues and greens since they are my favorite hues.
I think the resulting livery turned out pretty awesome. It's a bit busy, but I still like it a lot and I think I executed my original idea pretty well. That front license plate kind of throws things off, but sadly there is no way for me to hide that.
For the photographs, I decided to go to a variety of gorgeous locations. I got several shots in and around Miami, FL since that is where the Miami Dolphins play football and I figured it matched the theme well. Tropical spots just made sense. That doesn't mean I didn't hit up a few other locations spread across the world. I believe you will find there to be quite a variety of different locales in these photos.
You may also notice that my Porsche 911 GT3 is featured in some of the photos. That car looks similar in color but is more focused on Pokemon than dolphins. It was my first livery design in GT7. I think that the two of these cars make a dynamic duo. They match decently well and both are most certainly really fun to not only show off but also simply drive.
Along with a nice design and photos, I also wanted to upgrade this bad boy to the max. This car is a beast and can keep up with cars that you would think are much quicker. This is also thanks to the fact that the TTS is so small and nimble. You can see what I mean in this video of my driving my Dolphin Audi TTS.
Let me know what you think of this design. Would you stop and take photos with this car if you saw it in real life? I know I would. Hell, I'd even be tempted to hotwire and take it for a joyride, too bad I don't know how to do that though.
