Learning to be Aloy ⚙️

I've had quite a bit of time with Horizon Forbidden West already, well over 10 hours now actually. This game is superior to its predecessor in every way and overall it is just such a solid release. I knew I was going to like this game, but I had no clue that I was going to love it quite as much as I do.

I've been juggling story progression with exploration. I find myself losing hours at a time simply discovering new locations on the map and genuinely being curious about what I will find next. The story has been pretty good so far and is a direct continuation after Zero Dawn. If you didn't play the first Horizon, you may be lost, but you can easily watch a lore recap online or just go back and play ZD sometime. Luckily, I played about 20 hours of ZD and am able to understand what is happening in FW.

Sylens is a confusing fellow. This guy pops up in Aloy's focus frequently. Sometimes he provides helpful advice and other times he is just there to talk shit and then lead me into some sort of trap. The guy doesn't seem to be going anywhere and I like how he handles things.

In this video, I will show what I have done since first starting the game. I am finally out into the giant open world and able to explore new areas. Some locations are just not safe to go to yet since the machines can often be so difficult to survive. I cannot wait to power up Aloy more so that I no longer have to fear these dinosaur-like machines of the Forbidden West.
