In the mood for some Battlefield
After spending a weekend with Battlefield 2042 a couple of weeks ago, I have since been craving some more Battflield action. This was the perfect reason for me to redownload the awesome game that is Battlefield V, it was just sitting around in my library after all. My first game was a Team Deathmatch on Wake Island. This map is one of my all-time favorites, I first remember playing it way back in the Battlefield 1942 days. Those old Pacific-themed WW2 maps were some of the best. Thankfully most of them are now available to play in Battlefield V. I believe those maps and pretty much every old map will be available in Battlefield 2042. I hope A Bridge Too Far is available to play. Battlefield 2 OGs will remember that one.
More about Wake Island...
The Battle of Wake Island occurred during the Japanese expansion into the Pacific after the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. After successfully repulsing an attempted landing, the outnumbered US Marine defenders were overwhelmed and defeated following a fifteen-day siege. A reaction force based around the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga was forced to abort their attempted relief of the garrison after hearing of the surrender, and the island would remain in Japanese hands until the end of the war in September 1945. BFV is actually the first game that I began recording my gameplay with. I was still playing on PS4 back then. Now that I have my PS5, recording and editing my gameplay is far more convenient. I also have become pretty used to a recording while I play, about a year later now. You can of course enjoy my latest gameplay on Wake Island, but if you want to see where my gameplay videos started, I'll link a few of my old videos below. More new Battlefield V gameplay videos coming this week!
