These visuals are on another level 👀

After completing the initial race in Career mode during my DIRT 5 first impressions video and then showing off all of the vehicle options in my second video, I thought it was time to get back into racing. I decided to explore the Career mode more and see how exactly it worked. I must say that I enjoy the simplicity of how the events are laid out. There is no confusing map or open world that you have to drive around, you simply do a race and then unlock more after you finish it.

I had two options of where to race next but ultimately couldn't resist the idea of visiting Xiamo Run, China, and doing the Jade Dragon race. It was such a good choice to do this race, the aesthetic of this location is ideal to me. I ended up racing with a Volkswagen Race Touareg 3 during the morning with the weather being windy with some rain. The dirt turned to mud in no time, which made for a great racing environment. The particle effects mixed with the high octane slipping and sliding are so damn satisfying to look at.

I was unable to claim a podium finish during my first try, so I replayed this one. Sadly, I was unable to do it during race two either. No big deal though, I still got credit for finishing the race, which unlocked more in Career mode for me to do. I will probably revisit this race again once I unlock some better vehicles.
