What have I gotten myself into

My first match of Destiny 2's Crucible in several years went terribly. This is my second and third games and I have to be honest, this one didn't go much better. I was thrown into a game in progress, and that was a bad sign of things to come. I guess the people who were playing before me decided to leave since they were getting their asses beat so badly. I joined in only to be smashed by my competition. It wasn't pretty, but maybe you will find joy in my demise.

I told myself it must have been a fluke and immediately started up another game with high hopes. It went a little bit better, I even had a couple of solid plays. I believe we ended up winning the match, but still, I was not happy with my performance. This game is just nearly impossible to do well in without doing team kills. I kept getting matched with teammates who did not have mics. I felt like the other team was coordinating precisely to enhance their chances of success.

I can't get enough of the next-gen visuals of this game. That is what has me continuing to play more, despite doing so bad. I still am holding out hope that my skills improve to their former glory. It is not looking good so far, but hell you never know I guess.
