The Assassin's Creed saga is one that has been a bit hackneyed in recent times, and in the last three games is not for bad, because in my opinion they are very good games, especially Origins which is the most complete in general for me. Speaking of the saga in general, one of the most praised games, and rightly so, is the second game, Assassin's Creed II, even today is still a game that fans of the saga love, and I'm not the biggest fan of the saga, this is not even my favorite, and I have played the vast majority, but it is a game that I respect a lot and laid the foundation of what is a game of this franchise, I would say it is the one that gave it that identity, when this saga had more in mind the community.
Assassin's Creed 2 is an old game, it's hard to believe that it's almost 15 years since it came out, I still remember it as if it was yesterday that I was playing it, in fact I played it about a year or two after it came out, I didn't play it right away because I didn't have a console or a good pc to do it, I had the Wii at that time and I couldn't, but when I played it I was very impressed. This was in fact the second game of the saga that I played, because the first one was the first game of the saga, a somewhat monotonous and weird game, but it's good, it's not necessary to criticize it so much, although it has its flaws, the fact is that this game caused an impact on people, especially for being a game that took advantage of the hardware of the new consoles, but nothing more than that, as a game it might have sucked, but it was the first game. The second game looks like something completely different, from its protagonist, the colors of the game, and even the gameplay, it's something else.
The first game is much simpler in mechanics, here in fact they give us a bigger world, this is something I already commented in a post, and I don't like open world games where you can practically do nothing, and for my bad luck AC is one of them, it is a world that aesthetically looks very good for the era in which it is set, everything looks very cool, but speaking of the functionality that has the world, it is zero, you have some side missions and some little things to do, but the world is basically for decoration, something like what happens to GTA V. The big difference is that in this game as there are no vehicles, it has something and it's parkour, it's fun to be chased and many of the missions make very good use of the fact that you can run across the rooftops of the city and move so freely.
What I didn't like a lot is that to free the map you have to ride on these towers, but when you climb one somehow you feel good, in fact this also has Far Cry and it doesn't bother me in particular, but I imagine it's a way to lengthen the game, although the same and it's fun sometimes. Of the story of the game if I do not remember much, this game I'm talking about memory, but if I remember the mechanics, Ezio is a very charismatic character in part, but it is not my favorite of this series, I do not understand when people overvalue it so much, it's good, but it is not the big deal, even being a good protagonist. Leaving that aside, the rest of the game is good, it has an interesting story, the graphics are good, in fact it has aged very well in my opinion, and the mechanics, without being the best of the series, was the one that opened the doors to what we would see later with Revelations, Brotherhood and the rest of the series, of which I will talk later who knows.
This game is one of the best Assassin's Creed, if someone tells me that I believe him, in fact it is a game that won the game of the year award I think, I'm not so sure there, but it is a very competent game and one of the best of its generation, it is no joke that, it recreates a city in a masterful way, has historical characters very well represented, a simple but effective gameplay, and a strangely memorable soundtrack, it is a highly recommended game, regardless if you like the games of this saga or not.

La saga Assassin’s Creed es una que ha sido un poco trillada en los últimos tiempos, y en los últimos tres juegos no es para mal, porque a mi parecer son muy buenos juegos, sobre todo Origins que es el más completo en general para mí. Ya hablando de la saga en general, uno de los juegos más alabados, y con mucha razón, es el segundo juego, Assassin’s Creed II, incluso a día de hoy sigue siendo un juego que los fans de la saga adoran, y yo no soy el más fan de la saga, este ni siquiera es mi favorito, y eso que me he jugado la gran mayoría, pero es un juego que respeto mucho y sentó las bases de lo que es un juego de esta franquicia, diría que es el que le dio esa identidad, cuando esta saga la tenía más en cuenta la comunidad.
Assassin’s Creed 2 es un juego ya viejo la verdad, cuesta creer que tiene casi 15 años desde que salió, si todavía lo recuerdo como si hubiera sido ayer que lo estuviera jugando, de hecho yo lo jugué como un año o dos después de que salió, no lo jugué al instante porque no tenía una consola ni una pc buena para hacerlo, yo tenía la Wii en ese entonces y no podía, pero cuando lo jugué quedé muy impresionado. Este fue de hecho el segundo juego de la saga que yo jugué, porque el primero fue el primerito juego de la saga, un juego un tanto monótono y raro la verdad, pero es bueno, tampoco hay que criticarlo tanto, aunque tiene sus errores, el caso es que ese juego aunque causó un impacto en la gente, sobre todo por ser un juego que aprovechaba el hardware de las nuevas consolas, pero nada más que eso, como juego capaz que era un asco, pero era el primer juego. El segundo juego parece algo completamente diferente, desde su protagonista, los colores del juego, y hasta incluso la jugabilidad, es otra cosa.
El primer juego es mucho más simple en mecánicas, aquí de hecho nos ponen un mundo más grande, esto es algo que ya comenté en algún post, y es que a mí no me gustan mucho los juegos de mundo abierto donde prácticamente no puedes hacer nada, y para mi mala suerte AC es uno de ellos, es un mundo que estéticamente luce muy bien por la época en la que está ambientado, se ve muy genial todo, pero ya hablando de la funcionalidad que tiene el mundo, es cero, tienes algunas misiones secundarias y algunas cositas por hacer, pero el mundo básicamente es de adorno, algo así como lo que le pasa a GTA V. La gran diferencia es que en este juego como no hay vehículos, tiene algo y es el parkour, es divertido que te persigan y muchas de las misiones hacen muy buen uso del hecho de que puedes correr por los techos de la ciudad y moverte tan libremente.
Lo que no me gustó mucho es que para liberar el mapa tienes que montarte en estas torres, pero cuando escalas una de algún modo te sientes bien, de hecho esto también lo tiene Far Cry y no me molesta en lo particular, pero me imagino que es una forma de alargar el juego, aunque igual y es divertido a veces. De la historia del juego si no recuerdo mucho, de este juego estoy hablando de memoria, pero si me acuerdo de las mecánicas, Ezio es un personaje muy carismático en parte, pero no es mi favorito de esta saga, no entiendo tanto cuando la gente lo sobrevalora tanto, es bueno, pero tampoco es la gran cosa, aun siendo un buen protagonista. Dejando eso de lado, el resto del juego es bueno, tiene una historia interesante, los gráficos son buenos, de hecho ha envejecido muy bien a mi parecer, y las mecánicas, sin ser las mejores de la saga, fue el que abrió las puertas a lo que veríamos después con Revelations, Brotherhood y el resto de la saga, de los que hablaré después quien sabe.
Este juego es de los mejores de Assassin’s Creed, si alguien me dice eso le creo, de hecho es un juego que ganó el premio a juego del año creo, no estoy tan seguro ahí, pero si es un juego muy competente y de los mejores de su generación, no es ningún chiste eso, te recrea una ciudad de una manera magistral, tiene personajes históricos muy bien representados, una jugabilidad simple pero efectiva, y una banda sonora extrañamente memorable, es un juego altamente recomendado, sin importar si te gustan los juegos de esta saga o no.
