Hello, how are you, how are you doing, I hope very well. Fighting games are a genre that took me as a child, when I was a kid the first thing I played of the genre were the Bloody Roar saga games, I imagine that many people of that time also remember it, it was amazing how those games looked at that time for our eyes haha, but well, the thing is that fighting games have had an impressive evolution over time, all the sagas we knew, except for some more forgotten, have evolved for the better and have become the greatest exponents of video game tournaments today, they are special.
Yesterday I was watching a video of a guy talking about how fighting games are in a terrible time, that they are expendable, and from there I got the idea to make this post, because I did not understand at all the comment of that guy with everything that exists today. Tekken was one of the greatest exponents of 3D fighting games when it was the time of the PS1, and I've seen people say that it was his best moment and that 3 was the best, but I do not think it is so or by an objective question, not at all, 3 is not better than 4 or 5 or the others that follow, I think the best that has existed in this saga is 7 and Tag Tournament 2, clearly they are solid fighting games and they are good for tournaments, because they are balanced, if you play all the games of the saga today you will realize very quickly the evolution they have had, they have improved in each new game they make, and that is very clear if you see a gameplay of the third game and the last one, it is evident.
Another saga that has evolved a lot is Mortal Kombat, the first games although they consolidated the saga as one of the best known of video games, the truth is that as fighting games are lousy, they are boring and you can not do much them, this changed since Mortal Kombat 9 came out, which was the game that reinvented Mortal Kombat forever, because they left aside the boring gameplay they had and focused on a more competitive and adapted for fans of fighting games, come on, it is not the most difficult fighting game, but it is very noticeable the evolution that Mortal Kombat had since that game made an appearance.
Street Fighter is in a similar position, because 4 and 5 were games that received an impressive hate from the community, but over time when they have been updating it and adding more characters people have realized how much these games have improved, 4 is almost the best game in the series only behind 3, and 5 is also excellent. Fighting games have really evolved and are at their best, we have never seen so many competitors and so many tournaments in the world of video games with this genre, we have tournaments of Smash Bros, Guilty Gear, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken, DB FighterZ, Soul Calibur, Samurai Showdown, Dead or Alive, you name it, all these games have very active communities that are always discovering new things in their respective games, and currently there are games like Project L or DNF Duel on the way, two fighting games that look spectacular.
Well actually that was it, I still don't understand how someone could say that we are in the worst time for this genre with all the movement there is with this kind of games and with all the tournaments, but well, everyone has their own opinion and is free to express it. Hola, qué tal, como la llevan, espero que muy bien. Los juegos de lucha son un género que a mí me tomó de niño, yo de pequeño lo primero que jugué del género fueron los juegos de la saga Bloody Roar, que me imagino que mucha gente de la época también lo recordará, era increíble cómo se veían esos juegos en aquel tiempo para nuestros ojos jaja, pero bueno, el caso es que los juegos de pelea han tenido una evolución impresionante a lo largo del tiempo, todas las sagas que conocíamos, a excepción de alguna más olvidada, han evolucionado a mejor y se han convertido en los máximos exponentes de los torneos de videojuegos en la actualidad, son especiales.
Ayer estuve viendo un vídeo de un chico hablando de cómo los juegos de lucha están en una época terrible, que son prescindibles, y de ahí me surgió la idea de hacer este post, porque no entendí para nada el comentario de ese chico con todo lo que existe hoy en día. Tekken fue uno de los exponentes más grandes de los juegos de lucha en 3D cuando era la época de la PS1, y he visto a gente decir que fue su mejor momento y que el 3 fue el mejor, pero no creo que sea así ni por una cuestión objetiva, para nada, el 3 no es mejor ni que el 4 ni que el 5 ni que los demás que le siguen, yo creo que lo mejor que ha existido en esta saga es el 7 y el Tag Tournament 2, claramente son juegos de lucha sólidos y que te sirven para torneos, porque están balanceados, si juegas a todos los juegos de la saga hoy en día te vas a dar cuenta muy rápido de la evolución que han tenido, han mejorado en cada juegos nuevo que hacen, y eso se nota clarísimo si ves un gameplay del tercer juego y el último, es evidente.
Otra saga que ha evolucionado muchísimo es Mortal Kombat, los primeros juegos aunque consolidaron a la saga como una de las más conocidas de los videojuegos, lo cierto es que como juegos de lucha son pésimos, son aburridos y pues no puedes hacer mucho ellos, esto cambió desde que salió Mortal Kombat 9, que fue el juego que reinventó a Mortal Kombat para siempre, porque dejaron de lado el gameplay tan aburrido que tenían y lo centraron en uno más competitivo y adaptado para los fans de los juegos de lucha, vamos, que tampoco es el juego de lucha más difícil, pero se nota mucho la evolución que tuvo Mortal Kombat desde que ese juego hizo acto de presencia.
Street Fighter está en una posición similar, porque el 4 y el 5 fueron juegos que recibieron un hate impresionante por parte de la comunidad, pero con el tiempo cuando han ido actualizándolo y metiéndole más personajes la gente se ha dado cuenta de lo mucho que han mejorado estos juegos, el 4 es casi el mejor juego de la saga solo por detrás del 3, y el 5 también es excelente. Los juegos de lucha de verdad han evolucionado y están en su mejor momento, nunca habíamos visto tantos competidores y tantos torneos en el mundo de los videojuegos con este género, tenemos torneos de Smash Bros, Guilty Gear, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken, DB FighterZ, Soul Calibur, Samurai Showdown, Dead or Alive, lo que sea que imagines, todos estos juegos tienen comunidades muy activas que están siempre descubriendo nuevas cosas en sus respectivos juegos, y actualmente hay juegos como Project L o DNF Duel en camino, dos juegos de lucha que lucen espectaculares.
Bueno en realidad era eso, sigo sin entender como alguien podría decir que estamos en la peor época para este género con todo el movimiento que hay con este tipo de juegos y con todos los torneos, pero bueno, cada quien tiene su opinión y es libre de expresarla.
