Hi there. In this Pokemon TCG post I cover Mandibuzz and the Gothitelle evolution line from White Flare and Black Bolt sets.
Vullaby
Vullaby is a 70HP Basic Dark Pokemon. It has 1 retreat cost, Lightning weakness and a weak attack.
Mandibuzz
Mandibuzz is the Stage 1 evolution of Vullaby. This has 110 HP, 1 retreat cost, Lightning weakness, one attack and one interesting ability.
The Cutting Wind attack requires 3 Colourless energy to deal 90 damage. It is okay in terms of energy cost to damage ratio.
Hunt for Prey is an interesting ability. Once during your turn, you may have your opponent reveal their hand. Choose a Basic Pokemon with 70 HP or less you find there and put it onto their Bench. In theory this ability can clog up the opponent's Bench or you bring up weak Pokemon on their Bench and target them with something like Dragapult ex's Phantom Dive attack.
Gothita + Gothorita
Gothita & Gothorita are not great as attackers but you need them to evolve into Gothitelle.
Gothitelle
Gothitelle is the final evolution of Gothita. This has 150 HP, two retreat cost, Dark weakness, Fighting resistance, one attack and one ability.
The Synchro Shot attack requires one Psychic Energy and one Colourless Energy for 90 base damage. It does 90 more damage if you have the same number of cards as your opponent. Meeting the same hand size may sound easy in theory but it is not that easy to meet in practice.
Twisted Future is Gothitelle's ability. It only works while Gothitelle is in the Active Spot. You have the option to disrupt the opponent's hand by having the opponent shuffling their hand in to their deck and they then draw 3 cards. This ability is okay but my concern is that a lot of cards are needed for this setup.
