Hi there. This is a short Pokemon TCG post. Mega Excadrill ex is featured here from Japan's Abyss Eye set.
Drillbur
Drillbur is a 70HP Basic Fighting Pokemon with two attacks that take on any Energy. This having 70HP makes it compatible with Buddy Buddy Poffin as well as the new staple, Poke Pad.
The second attack Dig Claws requires two much energy to do 50 damage.
Call For Family for any 1 energy is good in the early game. You search your deck for 2 Basic Pokemon and put them onto your Bench. Some Call for Family attacks do 1 Basic so 2 is pretty good.
Mega Excadrill ex
Mega Excadrill ex is the Stage 1 evolved form of Drillbur. This Metal Pokemon has 340 HP, two attacks, Grass resistance, four retreat cost and Fire weakness.
The first attack, Dig and Break, requires 2 Metal Energy to deal 90 damage and you discard the top 2 cards from the opponent's deck.
Maximum Drill requires 3 Metal Energy to deal 200 base damage. If this Pokemon has at least 2 extra Energy on it (5 Metal Energy), then this attack does 130 more damage (330 total damage).
Getting lots of energy of Mega Excadrill ex is possible with Metang. I don't know if a deck with Metang, 15+ Metal Energy and Mega Excadrill ex would work well.
