As of December 17, 2025 the Crimson Blaze set in Pokemon TCG Pocket has been released.
All 103 cards have been revealed. As there are too many cards, I feature some of them.
Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur & Mega Venusaur ex
I have covered Mega Venusaur ex in a previous post. Critical Bloom requires a bit of Energy for its attack. The Ivysaur and its Synthesis attack accelerates Grass Energy to itself.
Sunkern & Sunflora
The Quick Grow Beam from Sunflora can deal 60 damage from 1 Grass Energy if the Quick Grow Extract item card is in your discard pile. It is not one hit knockout power but 60 damage from 1 Grass is good in the early game.
Charmander, Charmeleon, Charizard & Mega Charizard Y ex
Mega Charizard Y ex was covered before. It is a very powerful attacker. The Charmeleon is pretty good too for accelerating Fire Energy to your Active Fire Pokemon.
Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise and Mega Blastoise ex
Out of the starter Pokemon Mega Evolutions I think Mega Blastoise is the worst. The firepower is not there at 130 damage.
Wartortle's Shell Shield prevents damage to itself when Wartortle is on the Bench.
Magnemite, Magneton and Magnezone
The new Magnemite is a good attacker in the early game. One Lightning Energy for 30 damage. It is kind of weak at 50 HP though.
Magneton does 20 plus another 20 to an opponent's Benched Pokemon from 1 Lightning Energy.
The new Magnezone has an okay attack in Mirror Shot. This requires one Lightning Energy and 2 Colourless Energy to deal 90 damage with a chance of preventing an attack from the opponent's Defending Pokemon the next turn.
Helioptile and Heliolisk
Helioptile is okay but the Heliolisk attack is pretty good. For 2 Lightning Energy, the Thunderbolt attack does 120 damage. The drawback is that you discard all Energy from Heliolisk.
Xerneas
Xerneas is a good attacker if you meet the Energy requirements and if it does not have damage on it.
Purrloin & Liepard
Purrloin is a good early game attacker if you get lucky and land Heads.
Liepard has a hit and run attack. The Snatch & Flee attack requires one Dark Energy to deal 60 damage, move a random card from the opponent's hand and shuffle it into their deck. Then the Liepard (and I think Purrloin as well) goes back into your deck.
If Liepard is the only Pokemon you have in play and you use this attack then you lose as you have no Pokemon in play.
When it comes to the Liepard art, I swear I have seen this same art before. It is from the regular Pokemon TCG in the Brilliant Stars set. They do reuse some arts from previous sets. Why? I don't know.
Nosepass & Probopass
Nosepass is an okay attacker in the early game but you need it for Probopass.
Probopass is not the scariest attacker but the Metallic Turbo provides very good Metal Energy acceleration to something like Dialga ex or Snorlax ex.
Onix, Steelix & Mega Steelix ex
All 3 of these attackers require a bit of Energy for their attacks. Probopass kind of helps out but I am not sure about the firepower from Mega Steelix ex.
Buneary, Lopunny & Mega Lopunny ex
These 3 cards have coin flipping in their attacks.
Mega Lopunny ex does deal Confusion regardless of your coin flip luck. In the Pocket game, the player with a Confused Pokemon flips a coin before their attack. If Heads, then the attack goes through. But if you get Tails the attack fails. In the regular TCG, a Tails from a Confused Pokemon has a failed attack and deals 30 damage to itself.
Clemont & Clemont's Backpack
Clemont is a good search Supporter card that gets you 2 random cards from Magneton, Heliolisk and Clemont's Backpack from your deck into your hand.
Clemont's Backpack is an Item card that boosts the attack of Mangeton or Heliolisk for the turn.
Quick-Grow Extract & Serena
Quick-Grow Extract is a nice Item card that lets you evolve one of your Grass Pokemon in play. You choose a random Grass Pokemon from your deck that evolves from that chosen Pokemon. Grass Pokemon have access to turbo evolution.
Serena is a search Supporter card that lets you search a random Mega Evolution Pokemon ex from the deck into your hand.
Sunflora, Reuniclus and Xerneas Art Cards
Trubbish, Buneary, Clemont and Serena Art Cards
I am not a big fan of Buneary the Pokemon but this art card is really nice. Very colourful.

Some Shiny Cards
The Shiny cards typically feature Pokemon from previous sets. Here are some of them.
Gold Cards - Quick Grow Extract & Aegislash
What are your thoughts on some of these cards? Which art card do you like? My number one art card is Buneary.
