Hi there. I cover the full cards list reveal from the latest Pocket set, Paldean Wonders.
Since there are so many cards, I cover some of them.
Meowscarada Line
Tarontula & Spidops
I think Spidops can be really annoying if you are running a control style deck. One Grass Energy to deal 40 damage plus retreat lock can really trap a non-attacking Pokemon.
Charcadet & Armarouge ex
Armarouge ex is a beefy Stage 1 attacker with its Armor ability. Armor allows Armarouge ex tak 30 less damage froma attacks.
The Armor Cannon does require a bit of Energy at 1 Fire Energy and 2 Colourless Energy to deal 120 damage. The drawback is discarding 1 Fire Energy from Armarouge ex.
Chi-Yu
Chi-Yu is a one of the few revenge style attackers in the game. Megafire of Envy requires 1 Fire Energy and 1 Colourless Energy to deal 40 damage plus 60 more damage if any of your Pokemon were Knocked Out by damage from an attack during your opponent's last turn.
Tatsugiri
Tatsugiri is another revenge style attacker. For one Water Energy the Rally Back attack deals 20 damage. If any of your Pokemon were Knocked Out by damage from an attack during your opponent's last turn, then Rally Back does 80 damage.
Baxcalibur Line
Note that the arts of these 3 cards are the same as the physical cards from the Paldea Evolved expansion.
Baxcalibur as an attacker is okay. What makes it stand out is the Ice Maker ability. Ice Maker can be used once during your turn. You may take 1 Water Energy from your Energy zone and attach it to the Water Pokemon in the Active Spot.
Baxcalibur would serve as a support Pokemon that powers up Water Attackers like Palkia ex or...
Chien-Pao ex
Chien-Pao ex is a Water beatstick attacker. This Basic Pokemon has an okay first attack of Icicle for 20 damage from 1 Water Energy.
The Diving Icicles is a powerful second attack. For 3 Water Energy, you discard all Water Energy from Chien-Pao ex in order to deal 130 damage to any 1 of your opponent's Pokemon.
Pawmot Line + Nemona
Pawmi and Pawmo are okay attackers as you work up to Pawmot.
Pawmot is a Stage 2 140 HP Lightning Pokemon. Thunder Blast requires 2 Lightning Energy to deal 100 damage. The drawback is discarding one Lightning Energy after the attack is used.
If you need more firepower against Pokemon ex, you have the Nemona supporter to boost 80 damage for the turn.
Bellibolt ex Line
Bellibolt ex is a bulky Stage 1 Pokemon with 160 HP. The downsides of this include the three retreat cost, Fighting weakness and somewhat weak attack.
High-Voltage Cannon requires 2 Lightning Energy to deal 70 base damage. If you have 4 or more Lightning Energy in play then this attack does 70 more damage (140 total damage).
What helps Bellibolt ex get 4 Lightning Energy in play is Magneton and Zeraora.
I may actually try a deck based on Bellibolt ex. The problem is trying to get the cards as a free to play player (F2P).
Gholdengo ex
Note that this Gholdengo ex art is the same one from Paradox Rift physical set.
Spending Rush is a random damage spread attack. For each Metal Energy attached to Gholdengo ex, you choose 1 of your opponent's Pokemon at random. For each chosen Pokemon, you deal 40 damage to it.
Gholdengo ex would be bad against bulkier Pokemon but it can theoretically wipe out the opponent's Pokemon if the opponent has a slow setup.
Some Shiny Cards
Like with any other set in the TCG Pocket game, there are shiny cards.
Penny, Arven
Electric Generator & Big Air Balloon
Electric Generator is a coin flipping Item card. If you get Heads, then you add 1 Lightning Energy from your Energy Zone and attach it to 1 of your Benched Pokemon.
Big Air Balloon is the same card from the physical card game. The Stage 2 Pokemon with this Tool card has zero retreat cost. Getting a Stage 2 Pokemon in play is not easy which makes this Tool card a dead card for most of the game.
Team Star Grunt
Team Star Grunt does not seem very good. Energy denial is nice but this card has to target a random Pokemon with an Ability. Most strong attackers don't have abilities.
Some Illustration Rare Cards
Note that a good handful of these art cards are from the physical Pokemon TCG game. I think the Fuecoco art card and the Mewoscarada ex card are new.
