Hi there. Here is a Pokemon TCG news post. As of February 14, 2025, Pokemon TCG players have chances to win reprinted cards from the latest Prize Pack Series Six collection. Pokemon Prize Pack cards are aimed towards players who participate or have a high placing in their local card game shops that host Pokemon tournaments.
Prize Pack Series Six List
The cards here are mainly from the sets Temporal Forces, Twilight Masquerade, Shrouded Fable and Stellar Crown. (No Surging Sparks or Prismatic Evolutions as those are pretty recent.) There are a few Obsidian Flames cards like Charizard ex and Pidegot ex which are highly playable. A few Paradox Rift cards are in here too in the form of Roaring Moon ex, Iron Hands ex and Earthen Vessel.
Notable Cards
I present some important cards from the prize Pack Series Six collection. I may or may not input my own commentary.
Fezandipiti ex
Fezandipiti ex is a recent staple card in about 80% or more competitive decks. Being able to draw 3 cards ocne during your turn when one of your Pokemon were knocked out during your opponent's last turn is very powerful. The 3 cards you draw can be key in producing a game ending turn or start a comeback.
In the Toronto area one copy of Fezandipiti ex is around 20 to 24 CAD. Getting this in a Prize pack would be really nice and the existence of this would reduce the price to maybe 15 CAD.
Terapagos ex
ACE SPEC - Prime Catcher
Prime Catcher is considered by many as the number one ACE SPEC card. Some decks may want a different ACE SPEC card that suits that particular deck better but you can never go wrong with Prime Catcher. It counts as a Switch and a Boss's Orders in one card.
ACE SPEC - Unfair Stamp
Unfair Stamp sees some play in competitive decks as some decks prefer some other specialised ACE SPECs cards. Stuff like Sparkling Crystal for Dragapult ex, Secret Box in Miraidon ex, Brilliant Blender in Ceruledge ex decks or Scoop Up Cyclone in Archaludon ex decks.
Unfair Stamp requires that one of your Pokemon were knocked out during the opponent's last turn. When it is played Unfair Stamp provides powerful hand disruption and can really catch opponent's off guard.
Area Zero Underdepths
Dragapult ex
Dragapult ex is popular right now in the Prismatic Evolutions format. Some hardcore players/collectors will go crazy for this stamped version.
Raging Bolt ex
Raging Bolt is good as there is potential for large damage one hit knockouts.
Teal Mask Ogerpon ex
Raging Bolt ex + Teal Mask Ogerpon ex decks are not as popular right now. (It could be popular again with Journey Together set and rotation in April.) There will be players who will go crazy for a stamped Teal Mask Ogerpon ex.
Night Stretcher
Night Stretcher is recent staple card that provides quick recovery of one Pokemon or one Basic Energy card. This will be sought after.
Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex
Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex is a good late game attacker whose attack gets cheaper as the opponent is close to taking his/her 6 Prize cards. Some players would want a stamped version of this.
Closing Notes
This Prize Pack series six is nice. As I have most of the playable cards there is not much need for me to go crazy for them. Some players may go hard at local tournaments to win something like a Prize stamped Fezandipiti ex.
Some card game stores give out these packs once you pay your tournament entry fee as a participation prize. Other stores may require you to get something like a top four local tournament placement to win some packs. It depends.
The existence of these cards also somewhat reduce the prices of some playable cards due to supply increases. This is good for players who need certain cards or for those looking to get into the Pokemon TCG game.
