WOW. It's actually two months since last time I wrote about a game- or expansion pack of the Sims 4. It's about time to write about a new expansion pack: Get Famous!
I have waited soooo long to just start writing this post, and I have just concluded with it's not so much to write about it. It's fun to be a celebrity, and there are a lot of options on how your sim become famous, and you kind of can't chose what your strengths are as a celebrity. You can become a celebrity through your normal job (like a lawyer, or a master chef),but you can also do it through being an actor or a blogger. It's easy steps, but sometimes it takes time to becoming one.
After making your sim, and moved it into any house, you have to chose what kind of agency you want your sim to work in. I don't know much the different in these two, but I chose the first one.
And then you have to chose what kind of job you want. There are different kind of levels, and you have to chose out from what level your sim have in the different kind of skills. Don't chose a job that have higher skills than your sim. You won't get promoted.
The fun part of this game is that you can join your sim to the sets. It's usually the best to join, but the one times you shouldn't is when your sim is way too tired, have to shower etc. You can eat food at the set, so that is never the problem.
These pictures are from the directors and the other actors point of view. It's taken right after my sim's performance:
This next one is taken from the scene. As you can see, there is a set with people that works. I can recommend to get to know the director. Sometimes you have to get to know your co-actors to get promoted too:
This is my sim dressed up, ready for a scene.
You always have to get your hair done, and your clothing done before your sim start the scene. And as you see left in the picture, you have the same checklist as the other jobs your sim can chose to take you along with. The more you get done during your work day, the easier it is to get promoted.
All the next pictures are from different kind of sets.
And in all of the sets there is x-marks. Those marks are for your sim to do different kind of scenes that he/she have rehearsed on in advanced. If your sim haven't rehearsed, I recommend to not chose the option that tells that you have rehearsed.
You know what you have to rehearse on in the "job" section of your sims life. Just like any other job.
There is five (or six?) different kind of levels of famous.
The fun part is that you can set a door to be locked to anyone that aren't famous. And you also got the option to only famous people are going to eat at a restaurant if your choice. Im not sure if the option is on any door, or just the doors that come with this expansion pack.
There is a lot of bad things that can happen when you are famous. But you can also take advantaged of it too. You can chose to have a disguise when you go out, so no one will recognize you. And for a regular sim, he/she can't say hi or get to know you as easily. It's up to your famous sim to chose who you want to become friends with. And this also means that your one star sim, can't chose to get to know an another sim if he/she are more famous than you. But luckily, if you are on set you can get to know everyone.
Your famous sim will also after a while become "shiny". That's because it's easier to spot a celebrity.
I played so much that my sim became a world famous star!
This is as good as it gets. When your sim becomes world famous, your sim gets a plaque in their inventory that they can place on the Walk of Fame! It's no joke. You will find it in Del Sol Valley on the Studio PBP lot. And you can arrange a ceremony to put it down. As you can see, my sim only got two fans to come to the ceremony. HAHA. I think this is a really cool thing!
Celebrity or not - Your sim will get a fame info.
As a bigger celebrity you are becoming, as more fame points you get. And this is for you to chose what traits/skills your sim are going to have. This can also improve your skills, or you can chose options that makes you faster famous, easier to talk to, earning money on blogging for example, and much more.
Your famous sim will also have some peculiarities. This is kind of random, but what is going to become your sim peculiarities depends on how your sim is living their daily life. For my sim to become more famous faster, I always update his/her simstagram (instagram) on a daily basis. Your sim will get followers, and this makes your sim more famous. But this also left me with the trait that my sims number gets public. This can cause a lot of stress for my sim, and make him/her sad because of evil people that comment that he/she aren't worth a thing and such things.
The last thing I want to write about in this expansion pack is that there is a celebrity awards now and then.
You will get a reminder about it the day before, and you can also see it in the calendar, but you will not get a reminder the same day or when it starts. I have forgotten it a lot of times, but if your sim isn't there, your sim can win a price anyways.
None of my celebrity sims have got a price ever. I have had some writers and other celebrities that have been nominated, but no win. I guess it's pretty hard, and your sim may be a celebrity for a long time and do a lot to get nominated (just like Leonardo Dicaprio? haha).
These two next pictures are from the award, and there is different categories to win in too. As you can see, it's not the biggest place, and it's not that special. But you can make your own place where these awards are arranged. You only need a scene and set your lot to the trait "Hottest Spot in Town" - where the award can be arranged.
And thats maybe it. There is of course more to do, and I really love how the game is made.
There is a lot of options, and you can get famous in so many different ways. And if you don't want to be famous, you just don't do the things that makes you, or you can book a celebrity cleansing. No worries.
But after I moved my sim out, and wanted her to become a normal sim again (without the cleansing) it wasn't easy at all. Even tho my sim quit her job, and didn't do much things to become famous, it was hard to go back to normal.
But all in all, I really love this expansion pack, and it's a lot of fun things to do and a lot of obstacles too. I don't think it's hard to become famous, if you do the right things. If you are getting good in your regularly job (like lawyer for example), you can get famous too.
Here is a loooot of pictures from the celebrity home I built:
When I started up to explore the expansion pack, Get Famous, I decided to build a dream home form my sim. I started with buing a lot on the hills and removed the house who was built by the sims creators.
I didn't know what I wanted, besides a big pool with a bar in the middle, a great view to the city, a lot of windows, and the possibility to have a butler.
I really loved the area around the pool. It got a great view to the city, and the bar turned out just as I like it!
The inside is also nice, but I wanted to focus on the outside of the house because it is the nicest part of it. The outside of the house is also big, and the sim got it's own bathtub, relaxing area, swimpool, and the best part: a bar in the middle of the pool. It's a great place to arrange parties too.
