If you are anything like me, a lot of these musical pieces have burned into your mind like second nature. They are now part of what you would consider the "classics". Let's be honest, some of these games came out almost 30 years ago.
Let me repeat, THIRTY years!
Sometimes, I like to listen to other artists' arrangements of the said music. You could find plenty of them on YouTube, but finding one that suits your taste is another story. Today, I want to share one of my favorite cover artists, FamilyJules.
The dude has some great works under his belt. I often listen to his music over on YouTube. And his choices in video games? He could be my brother! In fact, he has done almost all the video game music I enjoyed as I grew up. Let me tell you, this man has good taste.
Some of his most impressive works are his medleys. Medleys, by definition, is a composition comprised of multiple pieces. For me, it brings back the nostalgia in an epic manner. Like his website quotes, he shows good guitar skills and video games do go hand in hand.
Here's one of my favorite medleys by FamilyJules, I hope you'll like it as well.
Donkey Kong Country 2 was a great game. Don't deny it.
