Remothered: Broken Porcelain is the second part of a trilogy of games that the development team, Stormnind Games, is preparing to present with its director Chris Darril. This version narrates the events that precede and follow the first part. From the criticisms towards the narrative style and the very complex story in addition to some technical aspects of it, did the second part correct the errors of the first part? This is what you will know through this review.
The first part puts us in the role of Rosemary Reed, who is looking at the accident of the disappearance of the girl Celeste Felton, and the second part will narrate the events before and after the first part, where more circumstances about the strange drug Phenoxyl will be revealed by going back to the past with a focus on the girl Jennifer and the terrifying events that she lives In the Ashmann Inn, sometimes returning to the present to focus on Rosemary Reed's next step in her research, the storytelling style is very messy as it takes us back to the past and then moves to the present to suddenly return to the very distant past with leaps now and then to the distant future! The non-linear narration style of events is not necessarily bad. We find it interesting when used correctly, but Broken Porcelain uses this method in a catastrophic manner that makes things more complicated than necessary.
If you follow the story and understand its details despite the complications, it is still an exciting story that tries to be realistic and tragic as much as possible, and it still deals with some crimes and actions that the player may find in himself a sense of discomfort due to the ugliness of these crimes and the images that come to mind when Hear it, but the story, oddly enough, touched upon somewhat supernatural explanations in its events, which breaks the ritual strangely and unfortunately some disturbing thoughts enter it, despite the good general structure of the story in terms of interconnectedness (when you overcome the problem of complex narration). The character building was bad and even chaotic. You play the role of Jennifer, who is described as a rebellious and troublemaker without an explanation. The character and behavior of the characters around you have not been justified, in addition to the fact that many of the details you read through the files do not add much to your understanding of the story, but the occasional dialogues Surprisingly reveal important details!
When talking about the graphic level, the environments in the game are beautiful and rich in details and elements that can be interacted with. Despite the improvement from the previous version, the animations of the characters' movement and lip movements and their synchronization with the voice acting are still below the level, at the audible level, the melodies are audible in the moments when you are being chased from Before an enemy from enemies, these melodies are effective in general, as they push the tension appropriately in addition to the diversity of those melodies between the different parts of the game. The game is "broken" unfortunately at the technical level to the point that we doubted our ability to complete it in order to provide this review, the characters will stop Interacting in many cases where you are trying to escape and you will be satisfied with standing in front of the enemy to be killed, while escaping you may put the appropriate button to open a door that stands in your way, but you are surprised that the character goes to one of the tables near the door to open its drawers, and we have become unable to enumerate the occasions we needed To return to the main menu and reload the experience because no item or puzzle interacts with what we are doing.
Okay, how about the gaming experience? Unfortunately, this element is also full of flaws, so the experience here will require you in many times to flee from the enemies or confront them and overcome them to move to the next part, and both sides have flaws. They hide and then sneak behind them to stab them with a sharp object from behind, and what is annoying is that they hardly leave you a window for the attack, even after escaping from them and returning to wander around, they will quickly and continuously look left and right and turn suddenly without following a specific procedure that helps you finish the mission, and you can imagine that the experience follows the same Alterm throughout its hours.
The story took 5 and a half hours to finish, and this experience may be one of the very rare experiences that were bad at all levels to the point that we wanted to waive reviewing it, but we found that bearing this suffering and warning you against going into it in the best interest of the players, Remothered: Broken Porcelain promised to fix the faults of the previous Building on her strengths, but she failed to do so, leaving us with a catastrophic experience that killed any enthusiasm we had for the last part of this trilogy.
Positives
The story is beautifully interconnected and exciting in many of its details
Distinctive and varied melodies.
Negatives
The story returns to using a more complex narrative style than the previous part with many poor choices in explaining its circumstances
A technically "broken" experience with unresponsiveness issues, constant need to reload, and other issues
Experience boring and confusing gameplay with many of its elements.
