An achievement that seems stupid, but people who have played Stuntman know how impossible it is
I have played a huge amount of video games, some have been easy, others I have not been able to complete, some cost me to complete, but there is a small part that became a personal challenge, today I will tell you why Stuntman became the game that cost me the most to complete, and the worst thing is that it became something personal between him and me. Stuntman is a car game very different from all the existing ones, we will be a movie theater specialist and we will do the stunts, everything related to cars, whether crashes, explosions, chases, shootouts, speed, tests, etc... There is a huge amount of tests to perform, each one is different from the other. What's so complicated about it?
The complicated thing about this game is that we must do everything that the director of the movie tells us to do, whether we must turn left, crash a car, crash some boxes, jump over a ramp, brake in a circle, turn back, use nitro, go fast, go slow, etc. Many actions that we must be very attentive to, and the worst thing is that there are some times that the gameplay does not favor us much. In total there are I think 6 movies that we must shoot, and each one has different scenes to sign.
One of the things that I found most difficult is dealing with the movie director, if you still don't understand why, he will basically be telling us what to do through voice comments throughout the game, and to give you an example some phrases are these: "turn right", "crash the truck", "use the nitro", "jump the ramp and crash the chimney of the house", "move to the left side of the pool", "chase the police car", and so there are many more that if I tell them I would not finish the post.
The first movie of the game is quite easy, we will be getting used to the buttons and the voice of the director, but as we shoot each scene, everything will become hell. I remember that scene 3 of the first movie took me 30 minutes to pass, it is a scene where we had to follow a specific route, but one of the biggest problems that the game had, is that sometimes the director told us the instructions very late, that made that if we had to cross to the right, we simply did not have time, since we were too close, I had to deal with that, besides learning to control the vehicle, that cost me a lot.
In the following movies, I really had a hard time, I was starting to get angry at the game, for the simple reason that some of the actions that the director asked for were very complicated, if not, he himself was late in saying them, which made me make mistakes... In the beginning, they allow us the vast majority of mistakes that we can have, but then from the movie 3 and mistakes have no place, simply if we screw up, the director asks us to stop the shooting and we have to try again until we get it, hours can pass and you're still in the same scene, but it is quite rewarding when you manage to finish a movie in total, they give you a trailer so you can appreciate all the work you did.
Scene number two of the film 4, called 'Conspiracy, is a scene that took me approximately 2 hours to pass, yes, I had to learn to keep my sanity and breathe deeply, the film was recorded in a terrain that I was not used to, everything was snow, ice and the worst thing is that the demands of the director were quite difficult, he asked me to go through trees, to cross in a specific direction, apart from that we had to go through explosions and if we did not do it he cut the shooting. The terrain is quite complicated to get used to, and by the way, we were with a snowmobile, and besides everything was mountains and the bike jumped without stopping, that made the vast majority of times that I tried the level I was wrong and sent everything to hell.
Apart from the movies that we had to do, also at the end of a movie we go to a "practice" level in which they put us in a racing stadium to perform double risk jumps in Hollywood style. One of the most difficult for me was Arena Monster, and it took me about 1:30h.
In the last two movies, I remember I lasted about a week to be able to pass them, maybe you guys don't know the level of complexity I'm referring to, but here we were already fully in the GOD level, and I'm not playing, I hope some Stuntman player can comment and confirm all my experiences and how really frustrating the game is. The fifth movie was shot in a desert, you don't know how TERRIBLE it is to drive through a desert and sand, well, I had to get used to all that terrain for hours and hours, to pass a simple 4 scenes, the director's demands sometimes I didn't understand them, and by the way many of them he said them just when I'm close to the target, this game certainly trains your senses to an advanced level.
The last movie of this game was hell in the flesh, the driving and chase scenes demand us a precision of gods, we must try to do everything to the letter and we can not make mistakes in almost anything, any stupid mistake will make the director cut the shooting and you will have to start again, I remember that this movie took me about 6 hours to make it, maybe it sounds little, but keep in mind that at the beginning the first movie only took me about 25 minutes in total. LOL. Apart from that, we have to drive a sports car, which will make our precision go to hell, I really hated this scene and I tried many days to pass it, the game had become a vice for me and I had to complete it, if I didn't I felt I was missing something to do.
After doing all the stunts that the fucking director wanted, and finishing with a perfect jump to destroy a helicopter in the air, I was able to complete Stuntman, for me it was a beautiful PS2 game that I know many of this group will bring back quite a few memories, unfortunately, I sold my PS2 years ago, and with that went this wonderful achievement, completing one of the hardest games I've ever played, 100%.
Maybe for many, this is not an important achievement, but if you really haven't played this game, I think you can't really have an opinion, because this game is for GODS.
