The great famous Dragon Ball sanga enters the world of video games with this great title, developed by Dimps and distributed by Bandai Namco Games comes Dragon Ball Xenoverse to relive our childhood with the manga/anime in a totally different way. Released on February 24, 2015, it arrives fully for PS3, PS4, PC, XBOX ONE and XBOX 360 consoles.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse offers a unique and totally different plot to what we are used to, because instead of following the same story of the manga, it comes with a different way of starring the fun story of Dragon Ball, although logically the essence of the manga/anime has not been lost in absolutely nothing, the way to present this wonderful game is simple and basic, it tells us about new enemies that are changing life on the planet of the sayayins, because of that, Trunks calls Shenlong with the help of the dragon spheres to ask for help and involve us with the patrol of time, to defeat this new threat.
The important novelty of this game, is that instead of choosing the role of any of the characters already known, how for example: Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Majin boo, etc, etc.. We will have the great possibility of customizing our character from scratch to our liking, being able to choose between the five existing races, the freezer, the humans, the majin boo, the sayayins and the namekianos. Each race has its own unique style, we must choose the height, the nose, the eyes, the body, the mouth, the ears, the type of voice and the skin color. There we will have a world of options to choose the ones we want, we can look like whoever we want, either us, or a unique and different warrior. It will take about 5-10 minutes to create our character.
This story is developed in the city of Toki-Toki that serves as a meeting point for all games, missions and possible actions in the game, in addition to the large number of stores to buy all the equipment and skills that are within our reach, apart from different lobbies to perform primary and secondary missions to advance the story of our game. If we have our game console connected to the internet we will be benefited because we can interact with them either by talking through predetermined messages, inviting them to fight and we can also join him and create a team to fight together. The goal of Dragon Ball Xenoverse is to become stronger and stronger in order to complete even more complicated primary missions, every time we level up we will be awarded level points, which thanks to them we can raise our fighting levels, and also choose the personal style of our fighter.
The battle system of Dragon Ball Xenoverse this is very simple to master, if you are the type of player who press all the keys without stopping, you will master it very easy (hahaha) but also gives us the possibility to create much more extensive and elongated fighting combos in exchange for spending a small portion of our mana bar, the latter option is very good to escape the combos performed by rivals. Perhaps for some types of people this battle mode becomes a little boring and repetitive, another important point to take into account is that sometimes we will fight in pairs, and our partner (AI) can be so bad that you will end up very annoying. That is why it is a good option to play with other users cooperatively, since the battles are won cooperatively and without a doubt, much easier.
Some users constantly criticize the camera used in the game, since it can become very "crazy" and does not end up giving a good experience, also the automatic aiming, can be very bad and certainly end up helping us to lose sight of the opponent.
We also have few characters to choose from when it comes to battle, which ends up being repetitive. In addition there is a great imbalance in them, so you will end up choosing to play online with your friends or something even easier, not choosing them.
Graphics, atmosphere and sound
Thanks to the new graphics engines in Dragon Ball Xenoverse we find a totally clean graphics and excellent animation with each character, especially in their faces, I think they could not have done better. Being all the characters very recognizable and being properly animated, in terms of environments and fighting scenarios we have a variety of types of scenarios perfect for fighting, and a big plus is that they are huge, just like in the series. Some animations against the environment can leave much to be desired, as sometimes they can become very false or simply not have.
To our surprise the above is benefited to an excellent soundtrack and very good sound effects, which makes us feel inside a battle sayayin! Another point in our favor is that we can also change the language of our voices, (obviously not to Spanish) but I know that for many it is very important to hear the sound effects and voices in their original language, Japanese. I noticed that sometimes there are problems when it comes to be synchronized voices and lips, but I think it is not a very serious problem. The soundtrack is excellent and there is nothing to complain about, CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-CHA-LA is included and no doubt we will be very happy to listen to it, since it will remind us a lot of our childhood.
Conclusion
Compiling and taking stock of everything said in this review, we are facing a Dragon Ball with a really entertaining story that makes us feel like one of the most powerful beings on the planet, that yes something very good is that we have the joy of being able to create a fully customized character and that certainly will make us spend better times. We can also interact with other players and that is a good point in favor, although its battle system is not the best. Dragon Ball Xenoverse is a title that fulfills what it offers, so I recommend it without a doubt.

Mantener la esencia y una buena historia
La gran famosa sanga de Dragon Ball se adentra a el mundo de los videojuegos con este grandioso título, desarrollado por Dimps y distribuido por Bandai Namco Games llega Dragon Ball Xenoverse para revivir nuestra infancia con el manga/ánime de una manera totalmente diferente. Estrenado el 24 de febrero del año 2015, llega plenamente para las consolas PS3, PS4, PC, XBOX ONE y XBOX 360.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse brinda una trama única y totalmente diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados, ya que en vez de seguir la misma historia del manga, llega con una diferente forma de protagonizar la divertida historia de Dragon Ball, aunque lógicamente la esencia del manga/ánime no se ha perdido en absolutamente nada, la forma de presentar este maravilloso juego es simple y básica, está nos habla de unos nuevos enemigos que están cambiando la vida en el planeta de los sayayins, debido a eso, Trunks llama a Shenlong con ayuda de las esferas del dragón para pedirle ayuda e involucrarnos con la patrulla del tiempo, para así derrotar a esta nueva amenaza.
La importante novedad de este juego, es que en vez de elegir el rol de alguno de los personajes ya conocidos, cómo por ejemplo: Gokú, Vegeta, Piccolo, Majin boo, etc, etc. Tendremos la grandiosa posibilidad de personalizar nuestro personaje desde cero a nuestro gusto, pudiendo elegir entre las cinco razas existentes, la de freezer, la de los humanos, la de majin boo, los sayayins y los namekianos. Cada raza contando con sus estilo único, debemos elegir ya sea la altura, la nariz, los ojos, el cuerpo, la boca, las orejas, el tipo de voz, así como el raje y también nuestro color de piel. Allí tendremos un mundo de opciones para elegir las que queramos, podemos parecernos a quién querramos, ya sea a nosotros, o un guerrero único y diferente. Tardaremos al rededor de 5-10 minutos en crear nuestro personaje.
Esta historia es desarrollada en la ciudad de Toki-Toki que sirve como punto de reunión para todos los juegos, misiones y acciones posibles en el juego, además de la gran cantidad de tiendas para poder comprarnos todos los equipamientos y habilidades que estén a nuestro alcance, aparte de diferentes lobbys para realizar misiones primarias y secundarias para poder avanzar en la historia de nuestro juego. Sí tenemos nuestra videoconsola conectada a internet nos veremos beneficiados ya que podremos interactuar con ellos ya sea hablando por medio de mensajes predeterminados, invitándolos a luchar y también podemos unirnos a él y crear un equipo para luchar juntos. El objetivo de Dragon Ball Xenoverse es hacernos cada vez más fuertes para así poder completar misiones primarias aún más complicadas, cada vez que subamos de nivel nos otorgarán puntos de nivel, que gracias a ellos podremos subir nuestros niveles de lucha, y también elegir el estilo personal de nuestro luchador.
El sistema de combate de Dragon Ball Xenoverse este es muy sencillo de dominar, sí eres del tipo de jugadores que apretan todas las teclas sin parar, lo dominarás muy fàcil (jajaja) pero también nos da la posibilidad de crear combos de lucha mucho más extensos y alargados a cambio de gastar una pequeña porción de nuestra barra de maná, esta última opción es muy buena para escapar de los combos realizados por los rivales. Tal vez para algunos tipos de personas este modo de batalla se torne un poco aburrido y repetitivo, otro punto importante a tomar en cuenta es que a veces nos tocará pelear en pareja, y nuestro compañero (IA) puede llegar a ser tan mala, que terminarás muy molesto. Por eso es una buena opción jugar con otros usuarios de forma cooperativa, ya que las batallas se ganan de forma cooperativa y sin duda, mucho más fácil.
Algunos usuarios critican de forma constante la cámara usada en el juego, puesto que puede llegar a ser muy "loca" y no termina dando una buena experiencia, también el apuntado automático, puede ser muy malo y sin duda terminará ayudándonos a perder de vista el oponente.
También contamos con pocos personajes para elegir a la hora de batallar, lo cuál termina siendo repetitivo. Además existe un gran desequilibrio en ellos, por lo cuál terminarás optando por jugar de forma online con tus amigos o algo más fácil aún, no elegirlos.
Apartado gráfico, ambientación y sonido
Gracias a los nuevos motores gráficos en Dragon Ball Xenoverse encontramos unos gráficos totalmente limpios y una excelente animación con cada personaje, sobretodo en sus rostros, creo que mejor no lo pudieron haber hecho. Siendo todos los personajes muy reconocibles y estando correctamente animados, en cuanto a los entornos y escenarios de lucha contamos con una gran variedad de tipos de escenarios perfectos para luchar, y un gran punto a favor es que son inmensos, justo cómo en la serie. Algunas animaciones en contra del entorno pueden dejar mucho que desear, ya que en algunas ocasiones pueden llegar a ser muy falsas o simplemente no tener.
Para nuestra sorpresa lo anterior se ve beneficiado a una excelente banda sonora y muy buenos efectos de sonido, lo cuál nos hace sentir dentro de una batalla sayayin! Otro punto muy a nuestro favor es que también podremos cambiar el idioma de nuestras voces, (obviamente no al español) pero sé que para muchos es muy importante escuchar los efectos de sonido y voces en su idioma original, japonés. Me fijé que algunas veces existen problemas a la hora de estar sincronizado las voces y los labios, pero creo que no es un un problema muy grave. La banda sonora es excelente y no hay nada de que quejarse, CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA está incluída y sin duda nos alegrará muchísimo escucharla, puesto que nos recordará mucho a nuestra infancia.
Conclusión
Recopilando y haciendo un balance de todo lo dicho en esta crítica, estamos frente a un Dragon Ball con una historia realmente entretenida que nos hace sentir cómo uno de los seres más poderosos del planeta, eso sí algo muy bueno es que tenemos la dicha de poder crear un personaje totalmente personalizado y que sin duda nos hará pasar mejores momentos. También podremos interactuar con otros jugadores y eso es un buen punto a favor, aunque su sistema de batalla no sea el mejor. Dragon Ball Xenoverse es un título que cumple con lo ofrecido, así que lo recomiendo sin duda.
