Como muchos gamer ya saben Mario es uno de los personajes más icónicos en el mundo de los videojuegos, el cual ha estado presente en muchas generaciones, gracias a esto se han podido observar una enorme diversidad de títulos que han evolucionado en distintos apartados técnicos con el pasar de los años, pero detrás del mundo de lanzamiento de títulos existen personas y comunidades que intentan innovar con ciertos juegos no oficiales del legendario fontanero, uno de ellos es el adictivo Super Mario War.

As many gamers already know Mario is one of the most iconic characters in the world of video games, which has been present in many generations, thanks to this there has been an enormous diversity of titles that have evolved in different technical sections over the years, but behind the world of launching titles there are people and communities that try to innovate with certain unofficial games of the legendary plumber, one of them is the addictive Super Mario War.

Super Mario War empezó por una pequeña idea de dos desarrolladores independientes, estos fueron Michael Schaffer y Florian Hufsky, ellos les encantaba la jugabilidad de los juegos clásicos de Mario, pero siempre tenían la curiosidad de hacer un juego multijugador en donde se pudiera competir entre los personajes del universo de Mario, respetando la jugabilidad de sus juegos, fue así como diseñaron el primer prototipo de Super Mario War, con gráficos de 8 Bits.

Super Mario War began by a small idea of two independent developers, these were Michael Schaffer and Florian Hufsky, they loved the gameplay of the classic Mario games, but they always had the curiosity to make a multiplayer game where they could compete between the characters of the Mario universe, respecting the gameplay of their games, that's how they designed the first prototype of Super Mario War, with 8 Bits graphics.

La jugabilidad era muy simple, los jugadores debían de eliminarse entre sí, con la finalidad de obtener puntos, mientras más puntos tenga tiene más oportunidad de ser el primer lugar, pero lo que hace curioso a este juego es la forma en que se eliminan los jugadores, simplemente se debe caer sobre ellos, de la misma forma en que se matan los Goomba en varios de los videojuegos de Super Mario.

The gameplay was very simple, the players had to eliminate each other, in order to get points, the more points you have the more chance to be the first place, but what makes this game curious is the way the players are eliminated, you just have to fall on them, the same way you kill the Goomba in several of the Super Mario games.

Gracias a esto empezó a formarse una gran comunidad apoyando el contenido del juego, formándose progresivamente un título completo con diferentes personajes de varios videojuegos reconocidos, inclusive le dedicaron un gran tiempo en portearlo a diferentes plataformas como por ejemplo Nintendo Ds, Android, PS3, Adobe Flash, Xbox clásico, Dreamcast, Linux, Wii y la versión principal de Microsoft Windows.

Thanks to this, a great community began to form supporting the content of the game, progressively forming a complete title with different characters from several well-known video games, they even spent a great deal of time carrying it to different platforms such as Nintendo Ds, Android, PS3, Adobe Flash, classic Xbox, Dreamcast, Linux, Wii and the main version of Microsoft Windows.

Una de las cosas fabulosas que tiene Super Mario War es que su código es abierto, esto abre las puertas para que cualquier persona pueda modificarlo y agregar lo que guste, es por este motivo que existen varias páginas donde se unen jugadores con la finalidad de agregar más contenido, así se van creando actualizaciones que se van publicando periódicamente.

Este juego te permite jugar de forma solitaria, multijugador local y online, este último es la forma más interesante, ya que permite la jugabilidad con muchos jugadores a nivel mundial gracias al internet, eso lo convierte en un juego muy adictivo debido a que tiene la esencia competitiva en todos sus modos de juego.

Ahora que nombramos los modos de juego podemos encontrar muchos de ellos que fueron agregándose con el tiempo, entre los más destacables tenemos el modo clásico, donde simplemente debemos aplastar a nuestros rivales, el modo moneda que es muy similar el de Super Smash Bros, donde debemos agarrar las monedas que aparecen de forma aleatoria en la pantalla. Existen otros modos muy interesantes los cuales dejaré que tu mismo los descubras si decides jugarlo.

Now that we name the game modes we can find many of them that were added over time, among the most remarkable we have the classic mode, where we simply must crush our opponents, the coin mode that is very similar to the Super Smash Bros, where we must grab the coins that appear randomly on the screen. Super Mario War es un juego muy fácil de conseguir, basta con colocarlo en tu buscador favorito y te saldrán una enorme cantidad de páginas, sin embargo, la versión que recomiendo es la de PC, es la más completa y que constantemente está recibiendo actualizaciones por parte de la comunidad.
