Polygon, like Kotaku, never fails to amuse. In a recent controversy, a writer for Polygon is now deeming that the Malenia from Elden Ring is sexist, which is completely nuts!
I've never played Elden Ring yet, but it is clear from what the writer is saying that they're clearly reaching for something that is not there, which is something that I absolutely hate. And it makes me think that they're projecting.
Now this wouldn't be all that bad if there was some evidence to support this writer's theory, but there really isn't. But not only does she go after the game, but she also goes after the players, saying that even if you enjoy a female character in the game, you're still a sexist.
This writer just keeps on attacking soulsborne fans, by saying that them referring to the boss as a "bitch" is proof of their sexism. Any gamer knows that when a gamer refers to a boss as a bitch, it's because of their difficult not because of their gender.
And it just keeps on getting better! To catch my thoughts on it, you can watch the video below!
Some random rambling
When I started my YouTube channel it was mostly just to voice my opinions about upcoming games, and pointing out pointless politics that are often inserted in them. But I've been finding that my audience is enjoying my commentary on the Political aspects of this stuff, and in all honesty I like talking about it. I can see that this is what my channel is going to be about now, and I will also be diving into other medias to share my opinions on that!
It's really cool seeing my channel. I hit 500 subs last week and it was kind of surreal, as I never would have thought 500 people would like to listen to my opinion, but hey I guess I was wrong.
With that out of the way, enjoy the video!
