What is going on, guys? I'm pretty excited to bring you this video/article as I am a huge Witcher fan, so I hope ya'll enjoy it!
A while back, The Witcher 4 was announced teasing the future of the game. There was a lot of speculation around the medallion in the image. CDPR later confirmed that it was from the school of the Lynx. But what is the School of the Lynx?
The first and most important thing to know is that the school of the lynx isn’t a part of any witcher canon. Up until this point, it was purely fanfiction, so CDPR can pretty much do whatever they want with this school.
In order of the school of the lynx to be formed there are choice sin TW3 that needs to be canon, and one of those is that Geralt was able to convince Keira Metz to go to Kaer Morhen.
The school of the lynx was formed after TW3, with vesimir dead, the witchers from the school of the wolf decided to go their own ways. Lambert and Keira set off together, and after helping some witchers from the school of the Cat, they decided to reform that school.
Lambert was named leader so it made the reform easier. Along with Lambert, the other founding members are listed as Joel, Gaetan, and Dragonfly. You might remember Gaetan from the dlc quest where the cat-and-mouse play, so this would mean another canon choice would be for Geralt to let him live during that mission.

Along with Gaetan, Jad Karadin is also listed as a member. You might remember him from the quest in TW3 where we need to help Lambert hunt down those responsible for his friend Aiden’s death. This leads us to Karadin who is living the family life in Novrigad. In this mission, we have a choice whether to kill or spare Karadin, and since Karadin is listed as a member of this school, the canon choice would be for Geralt to spare him.

During the whole reformation of the school, Keira was able to recreate the mutagens needed to create new witchers. Which I find kind of odd, because in TW3 Lambert seems kind of resentful for being taken away from his parents to become a witcher and the trails he had to endure, so personally I couldn’t see him being okay with this.
And after the discovery of a new continent, the school of the lynx is the first witcher school to settle there.
So where does this leave us? In one of my very first videos I made, I talked about my speculations for TW4. In it I said that I think tw4 would be the perfect game to take place shortly after the conjunction of spheres. That way there CDPR wouldn’t have to worry about messing up any lore from the o.t. Now knowing a bit more about the school of the lynx, I think that having it set after the events of the third game on this new continent would be cool. We would be seeing in a sense an entirely new world that is just being settled by people, with a crap ton of monsters. It would also be an awesome setting to create our very own witcher.
The route taken to discover the Western Continent
The people on this continent might be more welcoming considering that they would need witchers to essentially protect them, and perhaps our choices in the game will directly affect how this new world is.

Para que se forme la escuela del lince, hay una elección sin TW3 que debe ser canon, y una de ellas es que Geralt pudo convencer a Keira Metz de ir a Kaer Morhen.
La escuela del lince se formó después de TW3, con vesimir muerto, los brujos de la escuela del lobo decidieron seguir su propio camino. Lambert y Keira parten juntos, y tras ayudar a unos brujos de la escuela del Gato, deciden reformar esa escuela.
Lambert fue nombrado líder, lo que facilitó la reforma. Junto con Lambert, los otros miembros fundadores se enumeran como Joel, Gaetan y Dragonfly. Es posible que recuerdes a Gaetan de la búsqueda de DLC donde juegan el gato y el ratón, por lo que esto significaría que otra opción canónica sería que Geralt lo dejara vivir durante esa misión.
Junto con Gaetan, Jad Karadin también figura como miembro. Es posible que lo recuerdes de la misión en TW3, donde necesitamos ayudar a Lambert a cazar a los responsables de la muerte de su amigo Aiden. Esto nos lleva a Karadin, que vive la vida familiar en Novrigad. En esta misión, tenemos la opción de matar o perdonar a Karadin, y dado que Karadin figura como miembro de esta escuela, la elección canónica sería que Geralt lo perdonara.
Durante toda la reforma de la escuela, Keira pudo recrear los mutágenos necesarios para crear nuevos brujos. Lo que me parece un poco extraño, porque en TW3 Lambert parece un poco resentido por haber sido apartado de sus padres para convertirse en brujo y por los senderos que tuvo que soportar, así que personalmente no podía ver que estuviera de acuerdo con esto.
Y tras el descubrimiento de un nuevo continente, la escuela del lince es la primera escuela de brujos que se asienta allí.
¿A dónde nos lleva esto? En uno de mis primeros videos que hice, hablé sobre mis especulaciones para TW4. En él dije que creo que tw4 sería el juego perfecto para tener lugar poco después de la conjunción de esferas. De esa manera, CDPR no tendría que preocuparse por estropear ninguna tradición del a.t. Ahora que conozco un poco más sobre la escuela del lince, creo que tenerlo ambientado después de los eventos del tercer juego en este nuevo continente sería genial. En cierto sentido, estaríamos viendo un mundo completamente nuevo que está siendo colonizado por personas, con una tonelada de monstruos. También sería un escenario increíble para crear nuestro propio brujo.
La ruta tomada para descubrir el Continente Occidental
La gente de este continente podría ser más acogedora considerando que necesitarían brujos para protegerlos esencialmente, y quizás nuestras elecciones en el juego afectarán directamente cómo es este nuevo mundo.
