This was one of the last games that I actually played a lot. The GameCube had just been released right before I left the states and it was the last console that I played with regularity. Unfortunately I was unaware that the voltage or amps or whatever it is over in Thailand (where i moved to) was 220 in all outlets and the AC for the GameCube was meant for 110. I was able to play a game with my then roommate for about 8 minutes before smoke started coming out of the thing. I'm kind of surprised that it turned on at all. Later, I would end up experiencing problems with the AV on it... something to do with PAL or NTSC and now I wonder if that is even a thing anymore.
