Whilst Resident Evil 4 doesn't have much to censor from, anyone who's played it knows that Leon likes to hit on Hunnigan occasionally and everyone remembers the famous line from Luis about Ashley's... proportions.
If for some reason you hate fun and think all things slightly sexual or suggestive should be cut, then you'll be glad to know all of this has been cut!
Whilst I think this is a insignificant change, I still think the reason it happened is stupid, and that was not CAPCOM's doing... it was all Facebook.
A Facebook spokesperson told Eurogamer: "This includes immersive environments and high-resolution graphics. It also includes select changes to in-game dialogue and animations that we believe will update Resident Evil 4 for a modern audience."
Select changes for modern audiences
What is that even? What is modern?
I'm just 20 and I can handle some funny lines about boobies, we're not that dense. It's funny. Not necessary but it's also a ridiculous reason to change it, specially when you watch the new version, since you can see that Ashley still looks pissed afterwards.
Bringing a game to a new platform and to new players is always a good thing, but changing things for the sake of being PC, specially when these new morals are something that have been invented out of thin air only recently, is stupid.
Don't get me wrong, I will still play this once I get my Quest, it's just sad to see this happen and I doubt CAPCOM would even care about changing this, since the port wasn't made by them.
The game also removes Ashley's line at the end where she asks if Leon would like to do some "overtime" with her, which shows that she isn't just a doll and actually has innitiative... Of course Leon isn't interested because Ada is his eternal crush.
That being said, it's still a great "port", it plays a lot different from the original but is great fun and I recommend to everyone who's played the original, and if you haven't played the original... What are you waiting for!?
