Dead Crusher for Android
Dead Crusher is a mobile game from developer Heyyo, that is currently in Early Access. I discovered their game through an Instagram or possibly Facebook ad, either way it looks like their UA payed off to get this player. Don't let the title of my post fool you, I've played a bit of the game this is just my impressions very early in playing the game.
As a fan of the 'stop to shoot' Action genre, what initially grabbed me were the visuals so I was curious to see what unique gameplay or other twists they have to offer.
Initial Impressions
Looks great with a lot of fun action on screen that all stays pretty readable. The environment hazards, like the turning off/on steam shooters only took a small amount of damage before I realized "oh those aren't there to look cool.:)
Very easy to get into without having to needing to have your hand held too much and the mini missions add nice variety; guiding a supply truck, protecting a civilian, etc.
Frequent in-game upgrades are fun and the option to further level them up by watching an ad is smart. Although the 'spend a gem' to level up is a bit unclear as to how much that will cost, so I don't dare click it! Additionally there is some variety in upgrade types here instead of repeating some of the common tropes I've seen similar genre games.
Overall
Looking forward to playing more, seeing what continues to get unlocked, and getting more powerful weapons! Go play it!
