Hello dear Hive gaming readers, we continue with the new episode of This War Of Mine. I really enjoy playing this game. It somehow manages to surprise me every time. Also, before we get into the episode, I want to say that I love the art aspect of this game, especially the sounds. DAY 16
The last night I went to the construction site and collected a lot of materials. Now you all see that I collected nothing but materials lol.
In the last episode there was a radio report about winter and the weather getting colder. Now I remember why I collected all that material, to make a stove. I placed the stove in the center of the house, the position doesn't matter by the way. I just placed it there because I wanted to. You can place it in the farthest corner of the house and it will do the same thing.
We got 2 more good news today. First, we harvested our first vegetables. Second, there was meat in 2 traps. We will definitely not have a problem with food. I waited by the vegetables like this until it was time to harvest them 😂.
At night I wanted to try different things so I went to the garage. I took a helmet, pistol, bullets and a knife just in case. It is good to be careful but these items take up a lot of space in the bag. I could have carried 20 more materials instead of them. So remember this, you should not carry unnecessary stuff with you. When I was there, a man was asking for medicine or bandages for his father. Unfortunately I don't have any of them. I searched around the house but I couldn't find them. I can kill them easily but I don't want to hurt innocent people. I don't like that. Also in the game it demoralizes your characters and if they get too upset they get depressed and don't do anything you want.
DAY 17
We were attacked last night, but I've fortified the shelter so much that they can't hurt us anymore. As you can see, I didn't find anything useful last night and now I have to do something about it. It can be a bit boring to play like this.
Today my trade buddy Franco came and we made some very good trades. I traded meat for wood, because I can produce meat now, and I got some coffee and cigarettes. There are people in the shelter who are addicted to both. I want to make them happy.
After buying so much material and wood, I decided to build a herbal workshop where you can produce medicine bandages and cigarettes. It won't be useful for now, but I am sure we will use it in the future.
There was news on the radio today that many people are dying because of the shortage of food and health supplies. We are doing well on both fronts at the moment. I hope it will continue like this. There was also meat in the traps again. I think our luck has returned.
I didn't know where I was going to go in the night. I looked in my bag and all I need is more wood and materials. So I decided to go to the construction site. I can gather my materials without fear and with joy.
DAY 18
I found the things I was waiting for there. I also brought 4 toys. I don't know what I will do with them, we will see in the future.
Wow! That's big news. A man named Marin asked if he could stay with us today. I wish he had come earlier because I've already taken care of most of the construction stuff. He said that's his specialty. Still, I don't want to leave him out. He can do something useful for us. Welcome home, Marin!
I built another bed because there are 4 of us now. Of course Marin built it because he can build things with less material. He was sick when he arrived, so I gave him some medicine and put him to bed right away.
Before night I got Marin up and made 2 saws because we always need them. I'm going to use one of them right now, and tonight is probably the last time I'm going to go to the construction site to cut the railings and collect everything.
DAY 19
I don't regret going there at all. I found a lot of useful stuff, food, medicine and materials to make bullets. We were attacked again during the night but nobody was hurt. We just wasted some bullets, that's all.
Today I saw a news report that it is going to get colder. Luckily we have a stove and wood. It is hard to know how many days the winter will last. I hope we won't have any problems with that.
Do you remember the children who asked for medicine last time? They came back and said their mother was fine. That made me very happy. But now they need food and I don't have what they are looking for. I wish I could give them food. I didn't refuse them and told them to come back later.
At night I decided to go to the so-called "half-ruined house". We have only looted 20% of it and we can find much more. Still, it says it's dangerous. So I took a pistol and bullets with me again.
Guess what I found here? Three cans. I have to remember to keep two of them for the kids. I hope I don't forget. I also found a machine gun there and stole it. I don't think they'll need it 😛.
DAY 20
Here's last night's loot. Wait, what? What could have happened to Bruno? I didn't put wood in the stove last night because I forgot it was getting cold and Bruno got sick. I immediately put wood in the stove and heated the shelter. The thing is, the temperature of your shelter must not drop below 15 degrees. Otherwise characters can get sick and if they get too sick they die.
My trade buddy came again today. I think he comes every 3 or 4 days, I'm not sure. We made some great trades. I didn't expect to get so much good stuff in exchange for toys. I also bought all the wood and materials he had in exchange for medicine. Medicine is really the most valuable thing in this game and that's normal. Imagine you're at war. What would be the most valuable thing, of course medicine and weapons.
At night I decided to go to the garage again, there weren't many options anyway. I did some looting but I couldn't help this guy because I forgot to take bandages or medicine with me again. I tried to trade with him but it was not advantageous. So I gave up and went back to the shelter. Hopefully in the next episode I will have more places to go and we will have more fun.
