Hello community we continue today with chapter 9, I hope you like it
Chapter 8 of Resident Evil 4 Remake hasn't ended too badly, at least compared to other episodes in the game. At least we've managed to get back to the girl. Considering that she's our main objective, well, okay. 50% of the mission completed, more or less. Pick up the items in the room and go south, down to the Courtyard.
When you reach the bottom of the central staircase, open the map and notice that you see two exclamation marks: one going north and then south, and another on the ladder that should be slightly south of your position
Start by climbing the ladder and activate the crank to lower a flag. Now, using the map, explore the entire area, but keep in mind that you can't reach the northern exclamation mark from the ground. This time, the map is going to be more useful to you than I am for obvious reasons. Remember to examine the alternative routes to look for resources, but be careful of the enemies. Dogs will appear at various points, and they can also go through hedges and attack from any direction. Be careful. Of course, go east to collect the Chessboard treasure.

When you reach the southeast corner, you'll find another tower with a crank.
When you reach the southeast corner, you'll find another tower with a crank. Explore the alternate paths for items and have Ashley activate the lever in the corner so you can cross the gate that rises.
This will allow you to climb the stairs to the third crank, which will open the door to advance. The problem is that it also opens the gate to the cellar, where enemies will come from. Kill them all before they take Ashley. Then go west to the Cellar. The Peddler has a new briefcase upgrade. Now go north to where there was a point where you could climb with Ashley to open a door. Be careful because a suit of armor will be infected and you must aim well to destroy the parasite. It will drop a spinel.
Then, have Ashley climb through the gap in the door to reach the Depraved Idol treasure.
We're going to continue northwest to the Bookbinding Workshop. There you'll find two more infected suits of armor that also drop spinels, so we're interested in them. Technically you can go back to the battlements, but don't do it. There's nothing interesting for you, just a few more normal enemies and it'll be a waste of time and ammo. Go back to the courtyard and finally make sure to destroy Clockwork Castellan #09, which is in the northwest corner of the ground floor of the area.
Go east and up the stairs to the Great Hall. Pick up some resources, the Alexandrite treasure and enter the Peddler's area. You'll also find the note to activate the new upgrades, the blue medallions in the Great Hall and the second Shooting Gallery.
When you're all set, go through the south door of the shop (look out for the new locked box in the southwest corner, we'll be able to open those soon) and continue down the hall. You'll find a wagon that takes you back to the Audience Chamber, go into the main room to find another one of those guys in red robes. He'll drop a Beryl, so you're interested. Return to the Great Hall and go to the first floor, up the stairs to the east.
When you reach the Chimera statue with missing pieces, go north and you will see a door with a paper that activates the More Terminators request. Don't worry, as always, we will let you know when you are in the area where it is completed.
After going through the door you will be in the Dining Room. Collect resources and notice that you can sit Ashley in a chair and sit yourself. This is a puzzle, to solve it you must look at the paintings at the north end: Ashley must sit in the woman's chair and Leon in the man's.
They should be the top right chair at the south table (facing north) for Ashley, and the top left chair at the north table for Leon. This will open the cage of the snake statue, and you can take the Snake Head. Before you leave, in this room is the first rat from the request a moment ago. Return to the central area and go northwest of the first floor, up the stairs next to the statue. You will reach a room with several armors and, in the northwest corner, you will find a Small Key.
The path ends in an area with armors and a statue in the center. There are a lot of resources at the edge of the stage, pick them all up because the armors have parasites that will activate when you pick up the Lion's Head. If you're lucky and they pass under the blue lanterns, Ashley will throw them at them, paralyzing the armors and allowing you to do a finishing move. For the last round we recommend you use the rifle to get the three parasites out of her armor at once, and then use a flash grenade.
Get under Ashley to pick her up and activate the levers on the statues to get out. In the hallway you'll find a chest containing the Cube Key, the special key for the area. We'll take you on a treasure hunt soon, don't worry. By the way, the second rat from the request is in this hallway.
Go back upstairs and use the south door to go to the area called Gallery. When you go to cross the bridge you'll see a cutscene, you'll be ambushed and another of the red-robed guys will appear. You know what these bugs are up to, so we recommend that before they can react, you throw a high-powered grenade (or a regular one if you're short on cash) at the balcony where the guy is. This will save you from a lot of scythe pests, making things easier.
When things calm down, pick up items from the enemies, resources in the area, and climb the ladder to the west, to reach the crank balcony and climb the bridge. Before you continue, look under the bridge to find a Yellow Diamond in a chest.
You can now make it to the end of the bridge and grab the Goat Head. Okay, before you place the three heads on the Chimera statue, make sure you've done the following:
Destroy the six blue medallions in the area.
Pick up the Ornate Scarab from the locked drawer in the Castle Battlements.
Open Square Lock #01 and pick up the Butterfly Lantern.
Open the It's in Square Lock #02 and pick up the Statue of Justice.
You can't open the locked drawer in the Audience Chamber, nor complete the rats' request yet.
Now place the three heads on the Chimera statue. After the cutscene, go forward and grab the lantern, which will cause a piece of wall to open.
Go forward to a room with armor and you'll see a wall clock in the southwest corner. You don't have the combination yet, so continue to the Library. Here, go south to see a spot where you can place the lantern, in the southern area.
This will open a path to follow to a crank that, in turn, lowers a staircase. Go back, grab the lantern, go up and grab the Keyring. You'll now hear noises below, as you go down you'll see that the armor from before is now moving. Quickly go west, sneak through the gap under the bookshelf and use the second key on the chest to get the Perfume Bottle (2). Now go back to the clock room (you can paralyze the armor by shining the lantern on it) and set the time to 11:04 (small hand on XI, big hand on the fourth line between I and II, for the more obtuse).
A door will open that takes you to the Mausoleum. Here you will see another puzzle of gongs with figures. Go to the back and you will see the figures on the plate of the gate: bird, deer, fish, snake, so you must activate all of them while avoiding armor.
When you reach the end of the Mausoleum you will see that there are four lantern stands. Each one of them emits a light to a plate with a symbol. You will see that the lantern itself has a symbol on the "jewel" that points towards you. You simply have to match the symbol on the plate and the jewel, swapping the lanterns when interacting with the pedestals. This will allow you to grab the Salazar Insignia. Run back and, when you go up the stairs, move to the left, behind the screen.
You will find a chest where you can use the first key on the keychain to find an Emerald. Now crouch to pass between the paralyzed suits of armor and run along the right side of the room to safely reach the elevator. At the top you will find another suit of armor down the stairs, back up and run towards it when it reaches the bottom, running past its right arm so it doesn't catch you.
Return to the Library. Go to the north wall, going through the gap on the left to avoid the armor
There is a gate on the wall that opens with the third key. You don't need to go in, just run to the northeast corner and you should see a secret passageway on the wall. Go up to the room above, you can read a couple of notes and pick up a Sapphire. Then, use the Salazar Insignia on the mechanism on the north gate. You'll see a cutscene and finally you'll move on to Chapter 10.
