The new characters are here and we've also got some returning oldies so let's talk about what they can do!
Bennett of course is very simple. You just have to get his Burst up and then he powers up whoever is standing in the circle. Some attacks do something the fanbase has called "snapshotting" which means all you have to do is set up the attack in the circle and then the buff sticks around even if you leave it.
Xinyan is sadly the first of two female Pyro-element Claymore-weapon characters that just really don't do much. She is meant to shield you but back in the early days all of the shield characters had shields that didn't last as long as the cooldown for them so you always had some amount of time where they weren't protected and couldn't get a new shield up. Zhongli was the only character until Thoma and then Layla who could have their shield up 100% of the time and of course the reason for that is because Zhongli is the Archon character and Archon characters are the best at what they do. (except Venti who was outdone by Kazuha but we don't talk about that) Anyway Xinyan's pretty much only good for using her shield to apply Pyro and act as a shield as long as it's up. You can do a little more damage with her Burst which also applies more Pyro but that's really it.
I actually finally got my Dehya because miHoYo decided to give us a freebie 5* character selector for this 4th anniversary they're on. Sadly just like Xinyan all she's really got going for her are her looks and fun personality. In game she's a better Xinyan but only because her ability is that she's a very good punching bag. There are videos of people setting her up where they just let the enemies beat her up and then she does passive damage to them while getting beat up. Yeah it's that bad. Hopefully the Pyro Archon herself who will also be a Female Pyro Claymore Character will do the category some justice.
But we move on from that to Kazuha (again the "true Anemo Archon" according to some fans) and he definitely lives up to his hype. To date he is still the absolute best Anemo character and unlike the Archon himself, Kazuha can suck in larger enemies as well meaning he can help with damage multipliers far better than anybody. It is why he's still one of the most sought after characters in the game.
Now we move on to the newbies. Kachina and Mualani play very similarly despite having totally different elements and weapons. They both rely on the use of a skill that gives them a ride. Kachina gets a drill machine and Mualani gets a shark. With Kachina once she has the drill you can either let it go on auto and it just hops around in place doing damage or you can ride in it and hop around yourself. Once she's got her Burst you can use it and then the drill will move faster and do more damage within the circle. Mualani's Burst is just a big hit but mostly you're going to rely on her shark. Surf around on it to hit into enemies and that'll boost the shark's damage. You have to hit 3 enemies and then the shark will actually fire missiles somehow.
Personally I think Kinich will prove to be the best of these new characters. I'm going to be trying for him instead of Mualani and we get Kachina for free just by playing the Archon Quest.
