Two years ago we had the characters Navia and then Chiori who provided the Geo element in this game a way of dealing better damage. Originally Geo was meant for defensive roles like shields but with powercreep raising enemy HP pools, just being defensive didn't get the job done. Two years ago, the push didn't quite work. While Navia did do much better damage than older characters, it still wasn't enough to make her competitive.
This year though the approach might have a better chance. Lunar-Crystallize provides AoE passive damage with the push of a button if you have the correct characters. It has greatly enhanced the damage output for Geo characters and the previous character Zibai also had very good personal damage anyway. This time, Linnea does much less personal damage but it may be offset by her healing ability. Only time will tell if this upgrade really will be a gamechanger.
