This was a good time! The devs really learned from their experience with the Natlan Archon Quest (Act IV specifically) and pulled off a battle in an epic way. You have multiple fronts with different personnel at the helm. The stages are different. The roles are different. There isn't a time limit but you do still feel the pressure. Some areas are still overrun by enemy forces to show the direness of the situation. Overall very convincing attack.
As a mobile player I will say it was daunting. The whole thing lasts at least an hour and half and it could easily be dragged out to two hours if you're not that good with the characters they give you. This is somewhat like what I thought the v1.4 climax would be in Zenless Zone Zero, taking control of several teams to fight enemies scattered across the field instead of just Section 6. Sure it would have been more challenging but it's not like we hadn't used those teams before. I also think the scariest part about the Genshin battle for me was that they make you use your Traveler because I never built mine so while I'm at a difficulty where the characters can max out at Lv.80 my Traveler is only Lv.20 lol
As for the story I actually think they ran a much better trial than any of the ones they had for Fontaine. That's funny because Fontaine is the "Nation of Justice" and the courtroom was a core theme of the region. Meanwhile it's even pointed out in the story itself that Mondstadt doesn't really run many trials. The smoking gun part was also a little much. It felt like if the villain really wanted to pull off his scheme he'd have done a better job covering up. The courtroom design was also pretty cool. But I think it's more British than German based on the images I was able to find on courtroom design. Still overall a satisfying episode.
