Well EPIC GAMES threw a Free Game.
The Orwell title got me as I did a deep dive reading 1984 a couple of years ago.
Plus, we the Misinformation Bills on the radar for gubberment to control the flow of information.
In this "fictional" game, the Grubberment called The Party, has created a surveillance software called, Orwell.
You are hired as the Investigator to be the conduit between information, and the Gubberment official assigned to you.
You sit behind a keyboard, reviewing data feeds, news articles and uploading relevent chunks to their profiles.
The Official takes the information you provide and organises wire taps, opening new files as you collect the suspect's information.
The information you provide is used to help uncover insurgent plots, new relationship ties, proving their involvment in public riots, or worse.
You build a relationship dossier of a suspect, which in turn, opens new profiles on people who may be involved in a terrorist plot.
Your Liason is relying on you to provide information to uncover enough evidence to have them arrested..
I thought the game was going to be a grind.
But the game pace, the music, and the story, began to have me immersed in the happenings.
It is a linear game, broken into days, but you get the feeling that you are playing your part.
It is not a long game which makes it feel like you are playing a role within a movie.
I must have been impressed, as I looked up the company who made the game, Osmotic Studios and I purchased the sequel; Orwell: Ignorance Is Strength.
