It hasn't been that long since my last update, but with Leagues coming out tomorrow, I thought I would just put down how things are for me. After all, I think my next few weeks in OSRS will probably be spent in that temporary game mode until I get the Dragon Cup points. I mainly did some Slayer, Runecrafting, and Achievement Diaries this time around. I also got 99 HP this time around. I spent quite a few hours at Barbarian Assault to get all level 5 roles, so I could finish that diary since the infinite teleport reward was useful for elite clues.
Slayer and Bossing
I am still doing some Slayer. It's a good way to increase my combat stats while earning XP and money. After all the runecrafting and Barbarian Assault, I was just in the mood to do a lot of slayer. Changing things up kept my motivation up, and this was the skill that I worked on the most. It's fairly slow to level, but with 95 Slayer, I am able to kill Hydra as the final Slayer boss.
Tormented Demons
Tormented Demons are a monster that you can kill after completing the Grandmaster Quest While Guthix Sleeps. These monsters are similar to Demonic Gorillas, but more chill because they don't switch their prayers as often. These monsters are great XP and decent money (if you get a unique). With over 1,000 XP per kill, I enjoyed this task even if the run is quite far without using the teleports. I ended up just taking the mini-game teleport and running there.
Thermonuclear smoke devil
I got Thermonuclear smoke devil again as a task. It wasn't that bad, and it went by fairly fast. I didn't get the pet or an occult, so I am not done with the boss yet.
Grotesque Guardians
The next boss is Grotesque Guardians. This is a boss that can only be fought on a Slayer task, and I think it's a fairly decent boss once you get used to it. I get around 14 or 15 kills a trip so the run back and forth isn't that high. It was also fairly good money with the drops that I got such as the granite hammers. This boss is fairly chill when I just use a halberd for the kills.
Skilling
I worked on a few skills, but I did some thieving to get some more clues when I was in the mood to do them. It wasn't that much, but I need 91 thieving for the Desert Achievement Diary in the future. I also finished some Achievement Dairies and used the XP lamps on Agility to increase it. Finally, I did some runecrafting at Guardians of the Rift.
Guardians of the Rift
I focused on the Guardians of the Rift mini-game for my Runecraft experience. I talked about it a bit last time, but I finished around 50 more games, and I got a bit luckier with the pearls. I am still missing one more piece before I consider zeah blood runecrafting as more afk way of training it. I didn't have any luck on the other items out there in the list, and I am still working towards increasing this up because I need it higher level to finish up the Karajama achievement diary in the future.
Leagues
Leagues is a temporary game mode in OSRS, and it has an XP modifier to make things faster. At the same time, you also have access to relics to make things easier, such as 30 min AFK resource gathering. In this league, Mistalin will not be available, so the starting region will be Varlamore. We will get Karajama as a free region, and we can pick three other regions. Each region has its own tasks, bosses, and powerful equipment unique to it.
I plan on getting the Dragon Cup this time around, and I think I will be picking Tirannwn (Elves), Kandarin, and Morytania. With the new combat tree, I see more potential in melee or magic. Last leagues, I went for Desert, Fremennik, and Asgarnia so I wanted to change things up. The combat style I used last time was ranged, and I want to try out melee or magic in this league. There is way more customization for how we want to build things up. There is also three chances to reset, so I think I can find something that will work out for me and help me achieve the Dragon Cup points that I want. Conclusion and my plans
I am still working towards that max cape, and I made some decent progress in Slayer this time around. The Grotesque Guardians and Tormented Demons added quite a bit of XP towards my goal. At the same time, the skilling portion has kept my motivation higher for Slayer. Leagues is coming out soon, and I just wanted to leave an update on where my account is before I focus on that.
